Considering that our two countries are old trading partners since the ancient days..anc sondering that we are the fathers of ASEAN, as well as beacon of democracy in south east asia..it is only logical for our two great nations to cooperate.

We also share two very important enemies( lol) the malaysians and the chinese (although the government has bilateral talks).

Cooperation between our two navies would be a great counter to increased malaysians incursions as well as chinese naval threat.

Your views?

Oh yes..lol..our carrier task group ;)

What is your military impression of China made weapons bought earlier like Tanks and APC bought at friendship price during the late 1980's? or the Naresuan class frigate? I believe these are China made Thailand frigate? Whats the name and specifications? How much?

My impression on Chinese military hardware? I believe that the PLAN/PLA/PLAAF crafts are of superb quality. I have personally seen Chinese military hardware and am quite impressed. Their hardware are cheaper compared to western counterparts, but of equal if even superior quality.

The SAF is an armed force , not a civilian corporation. Its mission is to defeat its enemies, ruthlessly and completely. Its an instrument of controlled fury, designed to visit death and destruction of its foes...soldiers must have steel in their souls ..must learn in war to kill and not to flinch, to destroy and not to feel pity, to be a flaming sword in the righteous cause of national survival.

Philippine Navy-Royal Thai Navy cooperation? why not? it will be very nice to be cooperating with one of our great neighbors in Southeast Asia. :specool:

SIRIKITTONG: i'm wondering how you Thais were able to fit in US-made Harpoon anti-ship missiles, Sea Sparrow air defense missiles, radars, sonars and EW suite on the Chinese-made Naresuan class frigates. :drunk:

Next are Nareusan class, this one being the "Taksin"-hull number 422, the sister ship 421, although hazegray says taksin is 622 and 621 for the sister ship-. As to the Mk.41 SeaSparrow VLS, they reportedly were not bought. Ask Sirikittong to clarify.
