Great warship with much reduced IR detection signature, but it would be prohibitively Expensive to operate for the Phil Navy.

And most likely the Harpoon ASM's would not be included in it's price tag.

The French and Israeli's both offer package deals in their weapon's sales to foreign buyers, with Israel being well known for providing excellent support as do the French. France in particular has a reputation for selling High Quality weaponary to just about any nation with the money!

France's ex. navy TYPE A69 class Missile Frigates are available for sale right now and were built from the keel up for economical operations and they possess an endurance of 20-days at sea. This class would be perfect to totally replace the Phil' Navy's obsolete PCE's and Auk WWII era warships.

To replace the WWII Cannon class I'd go for either a 'leased' Oliver Hazard Perry Missile Frigate because it's got that all-importand helicopter hanger!

There might be one Broadsword Batch 2 class Missile Frigate left from U.K's Royal Navy for sale which is also cleared for helicopter operations with a hanger.

I think if the navy seriously consider buying these type 23 frigates the UK will be very much willing. They know that RP is embarking on defence equipment procurements and i know they want to be a player in this field. Probably what the our Navy need is just the money for downpayment.

Type 23 frigates will be a lot superior to the Jianghu's and the Jiangwei's of the chinks especially if we upgrade its FC and its radar and communications as well as its ECMs.

the Brits already sold two Broadsword Batch 2 class frigates to Romania. the last remaining Broadsword Batch 2 class frigate, HMS Sheffield, has been sold to Chile.
