So it's PCG for Spratley's, and the WHEC 715 to patrol Malampaya, Reed bank and secure projects?

I believe China is under the influence of an illegal substance!

For them to say that we invaded them????

I have a question for them, Why didn't any of the claimants particularly China, tried to even occupy or get close to KIG Islands that we occupied, when we had the US Bases in the PHILIPPINES? If you think about it, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan are all just "SALING PUSA!" :lollol: P.Noy should ask them.....

^^Hamilton class cutter lang pala ang katapat ng china para akusahan ang pilipina ng invasion! :lollol:

Seriously, the PN needs more than a missile-less hamilton to patrol and escort the philippine oil explorations.

China accuses Philippines of 'invasion'
19-Apr-11, 4:36 PM | Tessa Jamandre, VERA Files

China has accused the Philippines of “invading” the South China Sea which it claims as wholly its own, the first time it has ever done so.

More of the article here.

1930 ha?

Here's one dated in 1652, so supalpal ka na china! :armycheers:

Yup, it's official. Spratly Islands, Reed Tablemount and Scarborough Shoal are historical lands.

Another one of those old maps mentioned that shows how the Kalayaan Islands have been clearly grouped with Paragua even as early as 1652.

How sure are you the US would have intervened on our behalf if China did occupy the Spratlys when the US bases were still here?

Remember, the MDT doesn't cover the Spratlys since the US have not recognized our claim and sovereignty over the islands.

china started occupying islands and reefs in the spratlys in the 1980s, there were still american bases in the philippines that time but the americans did nothing.

You mean South China Sea, that is what the articles says and not China itself... :wow:

My point is.... when we had the US Bases here, if you think about it the yanks were like the ones securing our EEZs, number one examples are Chinese occupation of "Mischief Reef" and "Thomas Shoal" which are inside our EEZ.

They took advantage of the situations after the Yanks left, knowing that our AFP is not capable of repelling any intrusions, and the lack of patrol around the areas made this possible. They respected and acknowledge our EEZ and Territories during those times when the US Bases were around. :aberet:  :armycool:

I never said anything about Spratley is covered by MDT! but.....

The way I see it, as far as the rest of the Islands are concern, they are more disputed like free for all! but if you take a look how strategic the way the PHILIPPINES occupied the Islands close to our territory, especially those inside our EEZ I believe the PN or AFP had the help of the US in planning the positions like a shield like barrier from our Mainland, just unfortunate that they basically (CHINA) INVADED the PHILIPPINES when they occupied "MR"and "TS"!

The PHILIPPINES should have cried or protested an act of INVASION against China, when they occupied those two Islands that are well inside our EEZ and territory.

But guys you know what.... I read from some where that Pres. Marcos's proclamation decree of Kalayaan Islands or technically the PAG-ASA Island which has a Municipality and part of PALAWAN is like a "loop hole" in this issue, that if China makes a mistake on invading that particular Pag-asa Island which is a home for Soldiers and their civilian families and fishermens, that can trigger MDT!
Kalayaan is the one of the municipalities in the Philippines to have a single barangay which is Pagasa. All municipalities and cities in the Philippines are further divided into smaller political subdivisions called barangays. Because only Pagasa Island among all Philippine-occupied Spratly islands is currently inhabited by civilian Filipinos, other islands cannot have a barangay status. The civilian population, about 300 which includes children, was introduced in 2001 to strengthen Kalayaan's status as a municipality. However, less than 200 civilian Filipinos are present in the island at a time. Others have works to attend to in Palawan mainland. "Touch me not"
