Why is the Government allowing the ChiComs to impose and enforce a fishing ban on our territory? China may twist things to suggets this is a de facto recognition of the Chinese claim on our part.... |

"Once abolish the God, and the government becomes the God." (G. K. Chesterton) "Justice forbids, and reason itself forbids, the State to be godless; or to adopt a line of action which would end in godlessness, namely to treat the various religions (as they call them) alike, and to bestow upon them promiscuously equal rights and privileges." Very lame speculation quite frankly, you're not much different from this so-called psychic you quoted. The country doesn't need half-thought predictions from hysterical persons like you. |

OK so now the Chinese commie gutter dogs have bought themselves time from their issue with us so they can focus on their negotiations with the Japanese over the Senkakus. Perhaps this is as a good time as any to increase the pressure on the Chinese to the breaking point so that we can screw up their current talks between Beijing and Tokyo. Bring on the vaunted Philippine fishing fleet and lets have a party in Panatag!!! Watch the chicommies crap themselves. |

Is everybody here willing to adhere to the call? DFA chief calls for patriotism By Pia Lee-Brago (The Philippine Star) May 17, 2012 12:00 AM MANILA, Philippines - Resolving the territorial dispute with China would not be easy, Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario said yesterday as he called for a position of “patriotism” among Filipinos and sacrifice if the Philippines is tested. Although consultations to resolve the standoff in Panatag (Scarborough) Shoal, also called Bajo de Masinloc, should be pursued, Del Rosario said the Philippines should continue to stand up and defend its sovereign rights over the shoal and the West Philippine Sea in general. “We need to defend what is ours. We need to stand up even as we look for ways to solve the disputes peacefully. We need to stand for what is ours. In order for us to do this, I think it is not going to be easy – and as you see it is not easy,” Del Rosario said before the Makati Business Club and the Management Association of the Philippines. “We need to get our people to bond together. We need to unite. We need to take a position of patriotism that what is ours is ours and we will stand for it. And it is possible that we may be tested and if we are tested, it is possible that everyone will need to make a sacrifice,” he added. Del Rosario reiterated the Philippines is looking at different strategies in defending its claims and position in the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea) in general, including the legal track of dispute settlement mechanisms, including the International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ). “Do we have to have China with us when we go to this dispute settlement mechanism, the answer is no. There are mechanisms there where we believe we can pursue our objectives without China being with us,” he said. According to Del Rosario, a map prepared by the US Armed Forces in 1903 was given to him during his last visit to Washington. The map included Panatag Shoal as part of the island groups of the Philippines, contrary to China’s claim that it is not included in the Philippine boundaries under the Treaty of Paris. Del Rosario said he and Chinese Ambassador Ma Xeqing had began to discuss the pullout of ships in Panatag Shoal when they were engaged in consultations prior to the fishing ban China announced this week, but the two sides did not arrive at a conclusion or agreement... ![]() <> The Philippines said on Monday that it does not recognize the annual fishing ban that China announced it would enforce in the West Philippine Sea, saying it is an “encroachment” of the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone (EEZ). Chinese state media said the Chinese government announced it would enforce its annual fishing ban in the West Philippine Sea amid rising tensions with the Philippines over Panatag Shoal and other islands. An official from the South China Fisheries Administration Bureau confirmed the ban includes waters around Panatag Shoal. Del Rosario said the Philippines would exercise its legitimate and exclusive rights within its EEZ in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)... This is what I was trying to say, we all know that the CH fishing Ban in WPS including the areas within our EEZ territories are absurd. All Foreign and local experts on these particular issues clearly stated that the Philippines shouldn't even be negotiating with China regarding Panatag Shoal for they have no jurisdiction over the area which is Philippine territory, they are just INTRUDERS! What the Govt. should do is to ignore the ban and just let our Fishermen go about with their day to day operations and not get affected by the Chinese Fishing Ban as long as they are within Philippine territory and the PCG to monitor and protect them. We all know that China's idea of the Ban is just BS, considering they are the ones trying to destroy Marine life in the area with their illegal Poaching/ fishing activities and not our Filipino fishermen. If the PH Govt.wants to implement their own Fishing Ban in WPS, it shouldn't at the same time and timing as to when China proposed to implement the Fishing Ban for it would be seen to some as agreeing to China's terms that they have equal rights in the area or that they are legitimate claimants of the area. Remember, we caught them red handed intruding in our territories, doing their illegal poaching activities in our waters and prevented us from enforcing our laws... Since we are toothless Militarily to defend ourselves and our territories, the best way of course is to go ahead with the filing of complaints to ITLOS, UN without delays, for the only solution to solve the problem is for China to recognize our territorial sovereignty over Panatag Shoal and back off, they are just trying to make undisputable areas disputable in order to fortify it's 9 dash line claims in the whole SCS. Regarding; Do not risk Economic Relations with China.? We already did, they are already pointing guns behind our backs and determined to take everything in SCS, the best thing the PH Govt. should do is to start looking continiously and move on to other alternatives and to slowly move away from China which is also what other Countries now are slowly doing, to prevent negative repercussions in the future due to China's greed and mad ambitions, right now China's Economy is slowing down and Foreign investors in their Country are slowly diverting.... |

PH open to joint exploitation in disputed areas, search for win-win solution continues MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III said Thursday the Philippines is continuously looking for a win-win solution with China to end the standoff in Panatag Shoal (Scarborough Shoal). This, even as he indicated Manila’s openness to a joint exploitation of resources in the disputed areas within the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea) with Beijing and other claimant-countries. “We have not stopped having communications with them in trying to look for the win-win situation,” the President said during a forum organized by the alumni of Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Makati City Wednesday night. Watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd8x4rJjb5I. Start watching at 33:00. It wasn't Pnoy who opened the 50-50 split. I think it was a Chinese-Filipino who suggested a 50-50 split. But I like how the president answered the question. |

Filipino protesters led by former military rebel Nicanor Faeldon said they are planning to sail to Panatag as a show of support. “They want to protest against the aggression being committed by China against our country, Faeldon’s spokesman kit guerrero said. He said at least two fishing vessels carrying faeldon’s group were expected to arrive at the shoal later on Friday. “They are intending to stay there at least three days and fish, if they are not prevented from doing so, Guerrero said, adding that planting a Philippine flag on the rock was also an option. Fishermen from Batanes, Faeldon’s home province, along with fishermen from Masinloc, Zambales would be joining Faeldon to fish in Panatag that China has included in its declared fishing holiday. http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?artic...ubCategoryId=63 |

Do not cut any economic or development deals with the chicoms in our areas. I promise you they will cheat you and in the future somehow twist this deal into a basis for their claims on the territory. I am surprised they have not offered PNoy a mainland Chinese "princess" to marry...
