they should apply that law to themselves alone and learn to acknowlege disputed from undisputed areas, come to think of it with exception clause, the ban is only tailored for them... Yes, Maybe if some Countries like Vietnam, especially the Philippines takes the bait, it will be like bowing to them laws, for us it's going to be "Mischief Reef 2" reloaded in Panatag Shoal if I'm not mistaken Mischief Reef invasion/ occupation happened during these months as well, they will definitely try to use this technique as their last desperate option, but now with Military FORCE because of the standoff, those areas will be rough during those months and they know PN doesn't have Big ships that can withstand those conditions, maybe only PF -15 GDP? AFP/PN/PM pls Beware! The Govt. shouldn't talk to them anymore, Bilateral talks with regards to Panatag Shoal is inappropriate for it is part of our Territorial Sovereignty, our territory so why would we talk to them about it? The only solution is for them to backoff our territory, considering Philippines already filed the complaints, protest to ITLOS, UN. NO POINT TALKING! Just the same as telling them "Talk to my lawyer!" The only solution to this standoff is for Beijing to respect our Sovereignty in Scarborough Shoal area and for them to backoff plain and simple. |

once they set up structures in Panatag Shoal it will be game over for us unless we try to shoot and destroy them down, it won't be easy doing that with their Flotilla guarding their ulterior motive plan... Hope the US turns over to us PF-16 in time, for us to be able to deploy it in WPS during these times even with the White original Color to match Beijings 310 ship! "white to white" right? "Para magka Asim tayo ng konte!" ![]() PN/DND and the Govt. dont give those pinochios a chance or the benefit of the doubt, for they lied to your faces many times, especially when their Govt.Sec. defense w/ their Generals visited Malacanang last year, while they tried to set up structures in Reed Bank or WPS inside Philippine territory...

Well, looks like if the Chinese are serious about this matter, we could trust them, a little bit, of course, on this matter. Ending this crisis is based on trust. This is comparable to the Nuclear impasse at the book The Sum of All Fears by Tom Clancy. If they serious about ending this impasse, then we need to trust them. What harm would it give to us, and what other peaceful alternatives do we had? If backstab us, however, the world would and maybe, will come down upon the Chinese. I hope that they are sane to understand this. The Chinese are proud people, too proud for our senses. Their ability of swallowing pride and their commitment to peace and order in the region would be a major prerequisite to end this charade. |

They're still trying to assert their sovereignty over the area. China will arrest violators! Also, remember Pearl Harbor. I'm feeling a similar thing with that. It's just me. |
If you don't want a modern and capable AFP, you might want to get the f*ck off the Philippines because you don't deserve to be a Filipino that's why!

China does a fishing ban yearly from May 16-Aug 1. It is however the first time they have included Panatag Shoal. But remember, those dates are typhoon season. We don't fish much on those dates. Whether there is a ban or not our fishermen will fish sparingly during those months anyway. This is an opportunity for both China and Phils. to disengage from the Shoal. |

@Para, It's obvious that you've seen too many movies my bro.... Aggreeing to their declarations regarding their implemented fishing ban is like telling them that they have the legal right, jurisdiction over us inside our territory and that they are the boss and that we should abide by their laws inside our territory... are you kidding? If we let our guard down on this one, believe me it's game over for the Philippines and it's better to put out the fire before it starts, than try to distinguish it when it's already fully blown... The World can turn a blind eye on us if example we agree to this B_ll Ban idea of theirs simply saying that we are that st_pid enough to agree on their terms and they try to take advantage of the situation to put up structures during those times in Scarborough and maybe even Reed Bank at the same time, who knows?? " The World is just going to say that we asked for it!" If compared to "eye on the ball and stand our ground" regardless of having a weak Military compared to China, If they make a false move on us and tries to shoot their way in to force us out, they will end up in a brick wall with great dark aftermath effect on their Economy like a domino effect, where the last chip always falls. It's the USS Freedom LCS or any Freedom Class LCS the one I was talking about^^ w/ Mission Modules that's for US Official Use only! particularly the * module. |

Taiwan scholar anticipates calm in China-Philippine conflicts 2012/05/14 21:50:39 Taipei, May 14 (CNA) China's announcement of a two-and-a-half-month fishing moratorium in the South China Sea, which will start on May 16, is expected to ease a standoff between China and the Philippines over a disputed island in the area, a Taiwan researcher said Monday. Song Yann-huei, the convener of the South China Sea research group at the Academia Sinica, said he believes the moratorium is Beijing's strategy for calming the rising sovereignty disputes over Huangyan Island. Huangyan Island, also called the Scarborough Shoal, is located some 500 nautical miles southeast of China's Nanhai Island and about 100 nautical miles west of the Philippines' Subic Bay. Song said he thinks although the disputes over Huangyan Island have sparked strong protests of people in the two countries, both Beijing and Manila know such a conflict, which was sparked by nationalism, is serving neither of them. In the future, the two countries are expected to reduce their direct conflict over the disputed island as they try to resolve the problem through diplomatic negotiations, the scholar said. The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture announced that starting at noon on May 16, a 10-week fishing moratorium will be imposed in the South China Sea area north of 12 degrees north latitude, during which time all kinds of fishing operations -- aside from fishing with gill nets and angling -- will be banned. The fishing ban covers some 820,000 square kilometers of sea area in the region, according to the ministry. The standoff between China and the Philippines over Huangyan Island in the South China Sea began a month ago. Song said he thinks the sovereignty dispute will not end soon with signs showing the Philippines will take the problem to the security dialogue platform of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. He also believes there won't be military conflict between China and the Philippines during the upcoming moratorium period. Well, look at what's happening. Not only is Aquino welcoming the ban but he isn't pursuing a case at ITLOS anymore. http://pdff.sytes.net/index.php?showtopic=...&#entry22006680 |

China, nagpatupad ng fishing ban sa Panatag Shoal Date posted: May 14, 2012 7:49pm http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/video/11983...a-panatag-shoal ---------------------------------------------------- Philippines should let their fishing vessels go there now, and also send some PN officials to inspect the area where the chinese left and see if the corals are damaged or not. Chinese maritime ships there should allow the philippines to inspect it and let in filipino fishermen. |
