One way for us to get the World's attention is for the Ant to learn how to bite the Elephant, the Philippines must try to find an/other or allies aside from the US that's also strong enough or has the form to go up against the Elephant, us together to be in deep commitment in all aspect, something that we never had. |

China rejects Manila's move to take sea dispute to ITLOS Last Updated: Thursday, April 19, 2012, 13:11 Beijing: China has rejected a proposal by the Philippines to take the maritime dispute over South China Sea to an international tribunal, even as Beijing sent a major ship to beef up patrol in the disputed waters. Manila had on Tuesday said that it had planned to take the dispute to the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, to confirm whether it had "sovereign rights" over the waters. Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Fu Ying summoned Philippine charge d'affaires in Beijing, Alex Chua, for the second time in four days yesterday to protest against Manila's claim over Huangyan Island in the South China Sea. She urged the Philippines to "fulfil its promise" of easing tension and withdraw its vessels from China's territorial waters, Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin said. Yesterday, Fu had also requested Manila "not to take any more measures that would worsen the situation", a report on state-run website China.Org.Cn, said. <snipped> Last morning, China's fastest fishery administration vessel 'Yuzheng 310' left Guangzhou to cruise on a yet to be known destination in the South China Sea, which officials said, was aimed to "better protect" Chinese fishermen's rights and marine resources. The move underscores Beijing's determination to protect its maritime interests in response to Manila's refusal to withdraw ships from Chinese waters, analysts said. More of the article here. |

^^ Loco talaga itong mga beho na ito!, sila itong padala ng padala ng barko nila at nagpapa taas ng tention eh.. We might as well tell them straight dead on in their eyes, "JUST TRY AND TAKE IT IF YOU CAN!!!" WE MAY LOOK LIKE AN ANT TO YOU, BUT WE ARE NOT PUSH OVERS. We must really learn to bite the Elephant, forge an agreement or commitment with Countries like India, the ASEAN or even Russia and form an organization similar to UN once and for all.. I bet the Russians would abandon China for a solid ASEAN like an EU type of Organization, they wouldn't even have to worry about fear of having their Weapons tech getting copied anymore, helping each others need when it comes to each Countries made products etc. at the same time avoiding chinese made products, these combinations of power will definitely slowly tone down China's dark ambitions in WPS and the rest of the World will follow. Mr. Paratorpe is right Russia would be more than happy to help and deal with us with a solid ASEAN block to look after SE Asia than a "bully" like China.

Rejecting it just confirms that their basis has no grounds and that they will surely loose. This rejection already cements world view and world opinion that we are correct on our claims with SCS. So next time another incident happens the world knows that when we decide to use some force and make arrests we have all the rights to do it. They were given a chance for it to be resolved through the proper venue/forum and they've rejected it. |

To the PCG, wag papatay patay... make your own decision.

China sends another ship to Scarborough as research ship, Coast Guard vessel exit area MANILA, Philippines - (UPDATE: 6:44PM) China has sent another ship to the Scarborough Shoal area, where Philippine and Chinese forces have been in a standoff over fishing rights since April 10. This, as the Philippine research ship complained of by China and a Coast Guard vessel have left the area. The Yuzheng 310, China’s fastest fishery administration vessel, sailed from Guangzhou for Scarborough (also called Panatag by the Philippines), according to China state media. China had earlier rejected the Philippine proposal to raise the dispute over Scarborough to the International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea (ITLOS). Even as China sent the Yuzheng 310 to the West Philippine Sea, the French-manned Philippine vessel tasked to do research off Scarborough Shoal, has pulled out of the disputed area, a military official said on Thursday.
