Bro Mck,
For what against 8 fishermen's boat, then 2 CHR vessels that barricaded a fully armed PF-15?? It's more of on lack of balls of the Govt. to support their only full of posturing words and at the same time failing to exercise our rights and sovereignty to the area.. There is no doubt that our AFP/PN can perform it's duties even with the lack of equipments as they've proved and done in the past for they are true Filipino Warriors and one of the most proven soldiers in the World, look at those ex elite Filipino soldiers that are recruited by XE/ Blackwater or any other kind of private Military the only soldiers that are willing and can patrol danger zones in the ME and other Countries without body armours, but just with heart of "never back down!" |

Nobody can tell you what to do and not to do in your own backyard, with your own property, while your explanation wants us to think about the rights of others, but what about our rights??? We should always apply our own interests first especially with regards to our own property. WE ARE NOT THE ONE WHO IS 500NM AWAY FROM IT'S LAND BASE.. It's time for us to stand up! After all the Govt. have been doing all sorts to posture against China like agreeing to more VFA and all which CH contest, and all of a sudden a Scarborough slap in the face is what they got, exposing the Country's weakness and a challenge to the US in a way.. It was also the best time to find out if the MDT really works and the proper legal right for us to defend and uphold our Country's territory and sovereignty. After all it's not like we are going to abuse it.. |

There's nothing we can do now folks but to suggest more ideas what to do next time, and hoping someone would be listening. Despite of the PN's initiative and a chance upon discovery of those chinese illegal poachers, the result was really disappointing but it may not be considered as a total failure. The fact that we were able to grab the world's attention by broadcasting the illegal activities done by the chinese and making it worst by the government of china by sending their surveillance ships to cover up the crime committed by their own fishermen. Atleast look at the bright side that a team of PN SEALs and BOF agents were able to grab some evidence of illegal poaching of endangered species such as the giant clams. Now for the government of RP, learn some serious mistake here and never let any chinese fishermen illegally poaching within their EEZ territorial waters in the future by creating a faster and effective procedures of how to arrest them right away. |

Bro, as per report... a PN surveillance plane spotted the 8 fishermen's vessels anchored in the Scarborough shoal (meaning they were already in Panatag Shoal prior to its sighting) ... due to this sighting, the PF-15 who was nearest in the area (though still hundreds of kilometers away) was sent to verify and confirmed the sighting... because PF-15 is large, it cannot anchor near the shoal itself so it sent RHIB boarding team and gather evidences from the chinese vessels... this gap between PF-15 and the fishermen's vessel was taken advantage by the 2 much smaller surveillance ship of the Chinese by going in the middle and blocking PF-15 (now there's no clear report on how fast the Chinese surveillance ship arrived there, how long it should take for the PN to board the fisherman's vessel, gather evidence, arrest the fishermen and how with PN tow their boats and how long it will take to do this process - take note they were 8 of this relatively large fishing boats as per photos)... hence, the standoff Ang point ko, kung mayroong mas maraming kagamitan ang Pilipinas tulad ng mga radars, mas maraming patrol boats at ships at mas maraming surveillance aircrafts, sa una pa lang na mamataan nila or makita nila ang mga mangingisdang Intsik sa pamamagitan ng radar o kung ano pa mang paraan, dapat doon pa lang ay ginawan na nila ng paraan para hindi na makapunta ang mangingisdang Intsik sa mismong Panatag shoal tulad ng pagpapapunta o pagpapadala kaagad ng mga barko ng PN/PCG para harangang makadaong ang mga mangingisdang ito... ang nagpalala sa sitwasyon ay nakadaong na ang mga bangka nila sa mismong shoal... mas madali silang itaboy at hulihin habang nasa dagat pa lang... dahil kahit na armado ng mga missiles ang PF-15, sa tingin mo ba gagamitin nila yun sa mga mangingisda? hindi sa lahat ng bagay nadadaan sa tapang, lakas at dahas at padalos dalos na desisyon.. kailangan nating magtimbang timbang... halimbawa kung ano ba ang mangyayari kapag ganito ang ginawa at kung ano ang mangyayari naman kapag ganito ang ginawa... |

With the way things turned out, continuous stand off of PCG and the lone CHR vessel that won't leave Scarborough shoal, still happening as we speak, we will be crying soon and there's nothing we can do later next time, unless they exercise our rights properly in the area right now and tell that CHR vessel to go back where it came from or face arrest for violating our sovereignty and intrusion.. We suffered so much humiliations already, don't know how can they let this off and continue..? |

Delicate balance shifts at Panatag Shoal with return of Chinese ship The People’s Republic of China has deployed back to Panatag Shoal (Scarborough) “one of its white ships, bringing back the number of Chinese ships in the area back to two,” Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario said Saturday. "A white Chinese aircraft with blue stripe was also sighted conducting flybys near the Philippine Coast Guard ship," Del Rosario also said, citing reports from the PCG. The country’s top diplomat said these developments deviate from the position the Chinese ambassador, Ma Keqing, expressed on Friday. http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/25496...of-chinese-ship |

To be honest I think that our coast guard will be the first to leave the site. :( Cause I do think our government doesn't have the balls to stand against China. Do you guys really think China will follow the laws of the sea? I really doubt that. Remember China is one of the signatory of UNCLOS but try to imagine what they're doing. They're claiming the whole South China Sea because of an ancient map. I think there's no need to buy warships cause no matter what we do, we can't match up the naval power of China. Our government should priorities in buying Coast Guard ships rather than warship so that we could guard our EEZ. What's the used of using a warship in patrolling our sea if it doesn't have the jurisdiction on apprehending violators of the sea. BTW just my thoughts. I'm just disappointed. |

No more Mr. Nice guy, dapat diyan pinapaputukan na ng warning shot at pinalalayas! Basta our PN's to stay within our bounderies in a defensive mode and hold their positions.. Let's not wait for their flotilla to arrive dapat naka position na tayo, tamang tama real time live PH, US Joint Military exercises against them.. Let's see how these commies react. Little do they know maybe operation Rescue Scarface in the works as we speak... |

China now becoming more Aggressive than before and this time mukhang gustong mag-station ng Ships inside our Maritime jurisdiction or to install a so-called Fishermen Shelter (similar to Mischief Reef) Ito talagang ang real intent nila which is to set a hold on Panatag Shoal and then claim the Scarborough. |

Is this outcome not what I told you it would be if you backed down to the Chinese? They do not respect diplomacy. For them diplomacy is a tool by which to screw you by. Our leadership is losing credibility. |
