Based on Manokski's latest update, BRP Rajah Humabon (BRP 11) now sports a FLIR turret on its mast (see white ball in picture below)

http://home.comcast.net/~manokski/PF11.htm

Does anyone know if:

- This is a recent thing, and part of the PN modernization program

- What other ships are, or will be, fitted with this equipment

Most likely for navigation purposes only and not for multi-spectral detect and attack fire control e.g. on automated gun systems.

The Humabon is looking good in that pic. Not a hint of rust can be seen.

re: that FLIR, the mast mount could only mean that its being used for nav purposes only, but there's also a possibility that it could be mated to the main gun.

no big deal, FLIRs as nav aid are common on commercial sea vessels , take a look at fastcraft like Supercat and you see FLIR for nav purposes.
