![]() THE 33 METRE Fast Patrol / Attack Craft The advanced composite ONUK MRTP®33 Fast Patrol / Attack Craft is the extended and improved version of the 90 tonne ONUK MRTP®29 ("KAAN 29” Class) of the Turkish Coast Guard. ONUK MRTP®33 is developed as a versatile multi role platform for the increasingly tough requirements of the naval and law enforcement forces to control the littoral and the coastal waters. ONUK MRTP®33 can be equipped with various mission modules depending on the customer requirements. The Abu Sayyaf speedboats can never outrun these ![]() This one is just about right: ![]() The normal version is opened on the stern to allow the launching of an epoxy catamaran, 4 to 7 meters long, with a service speed of 40 knots. This catamaran is intended to dispatch interposition units to approach the suspect ships or to execute lightning reconnaissance raids. All the parts of the stern superstructures are built in epoxy to keep the total stealthiness of the ship. Another version is designed for the Special Forces with superstructures completely closed. The rear part of the upper deck and the door allow unfolding of a ramp with a conveyor belt to launch special rafts to dispatch one or several commandos without stopping the vessel. Recovery of these units is made automatically by using special winches. This version can be used also by coastguard to fight against the drug traffic or by customs for control operations. http://www.bgv-international.com/bgvn53.html |

Expect the French to design avant-garde sea vessels. But I do really think they're overdoing it this time. Those boats (trimaran?) look like the seagoing variants of Star Wars X-wing fighters. |

The design is a bit unusual but it has good points too. When the French came out with the La Fayette class 'stealth' frigates, not a few detractors voiced out negative comments re the ships' design, now the La Fayette is one of the most widely-copied warship. |

Old na yun design and weapon systems but we can still put those into good use. Alisan ng pork barrel ang mga congressmen and senators pati ang executive and allocate those funds not only to address our AFP modernization needs but pati civic needs. |

Command is about authority, about appointment to a position. Effective leadership is different. It must be learned and practiced in order for it to rise to the level of art. You must love those you lead before you can be an effective leader. You can certainly command without that sense of commitment but you cannot lead without it; and without leadership, command is a hollow experience. .. a vacuum often filled with mistrust and ignorance. The PN will not waste these kind of assets on those NPAs. Its more on external defense protecting our country's territory of which they themselves will benefit. Hope they see that. |
