The Chinese AC is considered just a pin dragonfly if compared to a regular size US AC, tapos 1 vs 11 ratio, baka sa Pacific fleet pa lang kasama ang allied forces eh tapos na sila... basta walang Nukes!
The moment the Chinese makes their first mistake re- SCS/WPS conflicts with it's neighbors like Vietnam and the Philippines, down goes China.
They may think they can go toe to toe with the Americans, but they ain't seen nothing yet.

China is becoming more and more like Imperial Japan 1870-1945.
Remember just 4-5 years ago when her government stressed again and again the nation is a country of peace?

Lol. The behaviour of the government in recent years totally busted that lie. Its population is also eager for war and believes all those claims are right.

Exactly like the ultra nationalism of the Japanese people during Imperial Japan.

Looks like Vietnam is toning down the rhetoric... :armyhuh:

Developing relations with Chinese PLA top priority: Vietnamese defense minister

http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/90786/7891484.html

ANOI, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Vietnamese Defense Minister Phung Quang Thanh said here Saturday that developing relations with Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) is Vietnam's consistent position and top priority on defense and foreign policy.

Thanh made the statement during a meeting to honor the contribution of the Vietnamese People's Army (VPA) military officers who have been trained in China, on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese PLA.

Thanh said VPA attaches great importance to developing all- round friendly cooperative relations with Chinese PLA, adding that Vietnam will always keep in mind China's support and great assistance in its national independence and the liberation of the people.

He said peace, cooperation and development are still global and regional trend. However, the provocation of hostile forces created new complicated problems between the two parties, countries, peoples and armies. In this case, the two armies need to strengthen solidarity and cooperation to defend the revolutionary achievements of their countries.

well, IMO any country would like to have a good relationship to any other countries... it's a given... but stomping another countries rights is another story...

we need also to take note that Vietnam is still a communist country, and they are also able to release their own propagandas...

I was referring to your comment at the Big China fishing fleet thread "I think we should shoot the hell out of those Chinese ships, our natural resources are being degraded by these go**amn greedy bastards."

bec if we shoot first, then we become the aggressors w/c will definitely turn-off the americans and the rest of the world
China may have all the resources, Volume of Soldiers and Advance Military hardware but for sure Vietnam's true posture with actions to prove showing that they are not afraid of China in any case making China to think twice. For me Vietnam will be a tough nut to crack for China.

Remember "hindi pa sila nakakagante sa nangyari sa Paracel Island massacre!"

Do you think if we'll do the same and wonder around near their mainland EEZ, do the way they are behaving towards us that they wouldn't think twice of shooting our ships???

Kung sa sarili nga nating territoryo sinasagasaan ng walang patawad ang mga mangingisda natin eh hinaharass tayo..! The whole World knows who's the true aggressor here, we are just defending our territorial rights and sovereignty from being stolen we have all the right to fire a warning shot or shoot back if we want to, bahag lang ang buntot ng nasa taas....
He's the one and only leader na nagpapabastos ng ganyan, an act of unbecoming of a leader.

Before P.Noy, our Govt. and PNs attitude where to fire warning shots to intruders in Scarborough, blow up the buoys and markers in KIG that where put up by China, may nagawa ba ang China sa atin kahit inferior ang mga kagamitan ng kawal natin sa kanila?

There's lots of ways to play it diplomatically at the same time being firm and to really show that you're ready to fight as well at all cost in actions not just words, not to the extent of letting the other party stepping on you like a cockroach regardless if you are weak.

The Philippines should follow how Vietnam handles and address the issues, plans, prepare for it's defense against China!

Hmmm..you are just a noob but you and AVBSupersonic have the same posting style.

I could debate you on your allegation that bahag ang buntot ni PNoy but my explanation would pale in comparison to Mccoyzzz's superb analysis:

If we take note of what the PH government is doing now, we should be able to enumerate it:
3-track approach: political, diplomatic and legal
peaceful multilateral solution
media-blackout
armed forces on standby and not allowed to comment
other government and local agencies, not allowed to comment
provocative comments are prohibited
chinese fishermen illegally fishing at PH backyard, no response from PH
etc...

IMHO, the latest report of "chinese fishermens" illegally collecting corals in Pag-asa is a BAIT and a provocative taunting (intentionally collecting corals) for the PH to take the bait... if we look at the CHINKS MINDSET, they own the whole WPS/SCS and that includes the KIG and they THINK/BELIEVED that the PH occupation on these islands is illegal... hence, they will INSIST that their fishermen are LEGALLY fishing within THEIR TERRITORY, even if they're inside the KIG area...

So, if the PH reacted (like ramming the Chinese fishermen's vessels) with PN vessels will be deemed by the Chinks as a provocative action and military harassment on their "civilian fishermen" and for these reasons, they will then send a lot of their navy vessels in the area to "PROTECT" their fishermen from the "PH military harassment and violation of the SCS code of conduct"... escalating more tension in the area and giving them reason to forcefully make its stand and claim militarily (we don't want it, don't we)... this is how the Chinese thinks and I don't think we can do anything about it...

Hence, if you'd noticed, the PH did not react but merely reported the intrusion and illegal fishing of these vessels... i don't think this is cowardice on our part but had analyzed the situation fairly and intelligently... I do also believed that US advisers and experts are both military and civil are also assisting PH in its decision making... as what the PH kept saying, they are gathering evidences of these intrusions and violations of the Chinese in the WPS area to strengthen its case...

You'd also noticed that, whenever someone interviewed somebody, they always refer to DFA to let them handle the situation (that includes fishermen illegally fishing, which should be under PN or PCG)... this is a bit awkward but I'm sure SOMETHING is in the works... not hearing anything doesn't mean they're not doing anything...

This is my analysis on the current situation in WPS...
