Malacanang will later announce to fool the Filipino people again that the Chinese sail is part of "Chinese Sovereignty", just like the island and military build-up in "West Philippine Sea" because Du30 has given and sold for free to China these Philippine Areas and will say China has the right because it is their area. Then Du30 will say that we are not giving it away and will blame a police (US) that he(du30) gave a property

China deployed jamming equipment in Spratlys — Pentagon

Patricia Lourdes Viray (philstar.com) - April 10, 2018 - 1:19pm

MANILA, Philippines — Beijing appears to have installed military jamming equipment in two of its outposts in the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea, according to US officials.

The Wall Street Journal reported that such equipment is capable of jamming communications and radar systems, asserting China's extensive territorial claims in the disputed waterway.

The new jamming equipment was deployed in the past 90 days on Fiery Cross or Kagitingan Reef and Mischief Reef, according to the report.

And as usual, patay-malisya si Du30. Ano ba ang meron sa mga kapwa Pilipino na ayaw maniwala na ibinenta na di Du30 ang WPS sa China?

China defends South China Sea military buildup
(Associated Press) - April 11, 2018 - 7:40am

BEIJING — China is entitled to strengthen its defenses on islands in the disputed South China Sea but those measures aren't directed at any specific countries, a defense ministry spokesman said Tuesday, amid the latest surge in tensions in the crucial waterway.

China's military deployments are "the natural right of a sovereign nation that helps safeguard national sovereignty and security," Ren Guoqiang said in a statement posted on the ministry's website.

China claims it has ‘natural rights’ over Spratlys
By: Nestor Corrales - Reporter / @NCorralesINQ
INQUIRER.net / 03:51 PM April 11, 2018

China asserted on Wednesday that it has the “natural right” to build military structures and deploy its troops in the disputed Spratly Islands following growing criticisms on Beijing’s apparent militarization of the disputed South China Sea.

Senior Colonel Ren Guoqiang, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense of China, said the deployment of troops and constructions of military facilities in the Spratly Islands were “conducive to safeguarding the state’s sovereignty and security.”

China unveils monument to South China Sea island building

BEIJING - China has unveiled a monument to mark its construction work in the disputed South China Sea, which has included reclaiming land for artificial islands, the Chinese military's official newspaper said on Tuesday.

China's building work has unnerved its neighbors and caused alarm in Washington, especially as much of the construction has been for military facilities like airports.

China has repeatedly defended the work, saying it has every right to build on what it considers inherent Chinese territory and that it is building public facilities, like weather stations and typhoon harbors.

To my commander-in-chief Pres Du30, during your 1st days of vow-diplomacy, you mentioned and assured Philippines that China gave their notice that WPS will not be militarized.

We, and the rest of several of the public & experts already warned you that long-time ago, Chinese govt has never gave their word-of-honor in their promises. Yet, you insisted to give them a chance to prove themselves.

A lot of instances already that they have not followed the agreement. Bulag ka pa rin po ba o ginawa mong tanga ang mga Pilipino, o tuta ka ng Chinese govt? Ano ka po ba talaga?

It is not about going to war. It is about exercising our rights because we own the place.

It is not about going to war. And stop asking "what should I do". Dont be a no-brainer. Dont be a bird brain. Ano yan, ayaw mo magisip and put blame to other people the way you blame US that you did not shoo away the thief from PH backyard?

Sa mga taong bayan na nagpapakatanga, ayan ang resulta ng katangahan nio.
Sa mga taong bayan na hindi tanga, we better act fast against China.

Maybe people should just consider that democracies are by their very nature unable to properly formulate defense Policy, especially when a massive boost in spending is required of the scale of the Cold War ? That is democracies are unable to focus on defense spending until it is too late simply because of their political nature of consensus politics which makes cutting or halting increases in social spending I'm order to fund defence priorities a political nonstarter unless you had a junta or a right wing strongman in charge.

Unfortunately, based on a survey, the main national priority is still inflation, jobs, poverty, salaries, etc. Defending national territories scored low.

If you can't have a bigger slice of the budget for defense spending, the next best thing is to bake a much bigger economic pie.
