This is NOT FAIR! Where is the "prof-Filipino" spirit of the government?

The "spirit" packed its bags and moved to Malaysia most likely. I hope the didn't take the "cojones" as well.

Malaysia to seek explanation from China over military build-up in South China Sea
17 Dec 2016

"I would soon write to his Chinese counterpart, General Chang Wanquan regarding the matter. I will also write to the United States (US) Defence Secretary Ashton Carter on images revealed by a US-based non-governmental organisation, Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative (AMTI), which allegedly shows China military build-up on the islands."

- Malaysian Defence Minister Hishammuddin Tun Hussein -

Let's see the history. Island build-up: We are not building and island. We are fixing it.
Airstrip construction: For civilian use, but military planes had been landing.
Population: We are building civilian population. But only military personnel and its families are living.
ADIZ: We will not create an adiz. All commercial/civil and military aeros are being questioned, even in international airspace.
During Scarbo Shoal standoff: Okay, we will go out. Then they turned and said we will not leave.

Now, weapons not for militarization, fact that it's a military weapon. So what's next by the lies and cover-up of Chinese gov't?
Chinese govt is fooling the world. The world doesn't care about it? Soon China will conquer the sea and air, and parts of PH. It's a creeping invasion. Didn't they learn from the creeping invasion of North Vietcong to South, then the invasion of Russia to Crimea?

The president does not need to war with China. But he must give a stiff warning and his diplomatic reprimand to require China to stop its invasion. Well, unless of course the Du30 govt is selling PH, just like how GMA sold spratly's.

Yabang pupunta daw ng Scarbo at magtatayo ng PH flag, tapos biglang hindi daw nya kayang gawin.

The Chinese ship, a DALANG-III-class (Type 992-III) support ship (pennant number 510) launched a small boat that retrieved the AUV. PLAN vessels of this class are armed with either two twin-mounted 2M-3 (Type 61) 25 mm/80 and 14.5 mm/90 naval guns. USNS Bowditch is unarmed.

The Seaglider is an unclassified commercial glider used for gathering oceanographic data on water conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD), oxygen concentration, and chlorophyll fluorescence data.

"The Chinese navy ship ASR-510, a Dalang III-class ship, approached within 500 yards of the Bowditch, launched a small boat, and seized the UUV," the Pentagon said in a statement.

The Bowditch made radio contact with the Chinese ship to demand its immediate return but were "ignored".

"This is not the sort of conduct we expect from professional navies," Capt Davis added.

The seizure will likely add to US concerns about the growing military posture taken by China in the South China Sea.

The encounter occurred in the South China Sea about 50 miles (80km) northwest of Subic Bay, Philippines, the US says.

China finally have the data the glider had collected. This can be use by both their Navy and Coastguard in monitoring their "claimed territories in WPS". They also have the chance of studying the design / technology of that UUV.

China Agrees to Return Seized Drone, Ending Standoff, Pentagon Says | NY Times
Quote:

The Chinese authorities told American officials that they planned to return the drone, but the two sides were still working out where, when and precisely how the device would be handed back, said two Defense Department officials, both of whom would talk about the negotiations with China only on the condition of anonymity. One of the officials said the Pentagon expected the matter to be resolved in the coming days without further acrimony.

< snipped >

In a statement late Saturday, the Chinese Defense Ministry said it was in talks with the United States but criticized Washington for what it called an “inappropriate” exaggeration of the dispute. The American reaction, it said, is “not conducive to solving the problem smoothly.”

Although the ministry said the drone would be returned to the United States in a “proper way,” the statement stopped short of saying when or how the device, which Chinese and American analysts say was most likely used to gather intelligence about Chinese submarine activity in contested waters, would be returned, or if it would be handed back intact.

China returns underwater drone, US condemns 'unlawful' seizure
By: Ben Blanchard, Reuters
December 20, 2016 7:12 PM

BEIJING - China has returned a US underwater drone taken by one of its naval vessels in the disputed South China Sea last week after what it said were friendly talks with the United States, which reiterated its criticism of the "unlawful" seizure.

The taking of the unmanned underwater vehicle in international waters near the Philippines triggered a diplomatic protest and speculation about whether it would strengthen US President-elect Donald Trump's hand as he seeks a tougher line with China.

A Chinese naval ship took the drone, which the Pentagon says uses unclassified, commercially available technology to collect oceanographic data, on Thursday about 50 nautical miles northwest of Subic Bay in the Philippines.

China begins daily civil charter flights to South China Sea outpost
By: Ben Blanchard, Reuters
December 22, 2016 8:17 PM

BEIJING - China has begun daily civilian charter flights to Woody Island in the disputed South China Sea after the airport there was approved for civil operations, state news agency Xinhua said on Thursday.

China claims almost all of the South China Sea, through which more than $5 trillion of maritime trade passes each year. The Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, Malaysia and Taiwan have overlapping claims.

The first flight took off on Wednesday from Meilan Airport in Haikou, the provincial capital of China's southern island province of Hainan, and landed on Woody Island at 10:20 a.m. Thursday.

Civilian charter flights will run every day with tickets costing 1,200 yuan ($172.77) one way, Xinhua said. ($1 = 6.9 yuan)

Chinese carrier enters South China Sea amid renewed tension
Reuters

TAIPEI, Dec 26 (Reuters) - A group of Chinese warships led by the country's sole aircraft carrier entered the top half of the South China Sea on Monday after passing south of Taiwan, the island's defence ministry said of what China has termed a routine exercise.

The move comes amid renewed tension over self-ruled Taiwan, which Beijing claims as its own, following U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's telephone call with the island's president that upset Beijing.

The ministry said the aircraft carrier the Liaoning, accompanied by five vessels, had early Monday afternoon passed southeast of the Pratas Islands, which are controlled by Taiwan, heading southwest.
