Maybe DU30 should also observe and follow his Chinese Idol more closely, Look at the Chinese, they are very protective of their freshly stolen Islands. They even emphasize that the US vessel violated Chinese Laws in their Illegally Claimed Islands. Maybe, just like DU30, we should also idolize China because it is the only Thief in existence, who is so concerned about the Law.

U.S. Plans to Expand Naval Engagements in Southeast Asia Using Littoral Combat Ships, EPFs
USNI

November 21, 2017
The U.S. Navy is planning to enhance naval engagement with nations across South and Southeast Asia next year, Rear Adm. Don Gabrielson, the commander Logistics Group Western Pacific/Task Force 73, told USNI on Tuesday. ...
As such the command is working on a framework that allows partner nations to conduct a short notice exercise or engagement based on a pre-agreed list of activities. “What happens often is our ships are underway or passing through the region and the dynamic nature of naval operations means that we don’t always have a year to plan when a ship is going to be in a particular place, so sometimes we miss opportunities to conduct training with our partners.” ...
Gabrielson said that the countries involved will be announced later and these regional engagements will largely involve the use of the LCSs and EPFs, whose size and shallow drafts enable them to operate in most of the littoral waters in the region and visit many shallow water port and naval facilities prevalent across South and Southeast Asia. In addition, with the routine presence of LCS and EPF in the region, these ships are fostering relevant cooperation and training opportunities with partner nations, particularly the smaller littoral navies. This is in contrast to destroyers or cruisers, which are challenged by limited accessibility and whose skill sets and capabilities can be sometimes too high-end for littoral navies focusing on maritime security and preventing terrorism and piracy at sea.
“We’re using the LCSs and EPFs, both individually and together, to conduct these engagements because they are the right-sized platforms and frankly they bring the right kind of skills for many navies to take on the challenges that they are dealing with,” said Gabrielson, adding that LCS and EPFs have access to over a thousand port locations in the littoral regions of South and Southeast Asia while larger ships like destroyers only have access to about a dozen locations.

China accuses US warship of violating its sovereignty in Scarborough Shoal Reuters
Posted at Jan 20 2018 05:26 PM
SHANGHAI - China's foreign ministry has accused a US warship of entering its territorial waters without permission and said it would take "necessary measures" to ensure its sovereignty is protected.
On the evening of Jan. 17, the missile destroyer USS Hopper came within 12 nautical miles of Huangyan Island in the South China Sea, the ministry said on its website on Saturday.
Huangyan Island is also known as the Scarborough Shoal, a disputed territory in the South China Sea claimed by the Philippines as well as China.

I am surprised Beijing had not dispatched a plane or sub to intercept the Hopper.

DFA should issue a note verbale to China to stop commenting a violation of sovereignty because it is not China's property. And China itself has no right to claim because they are the ones who violated the by encroaching in WPS

On the night of January 17, the USS Hopper missile destroyer sailed within 12 nautical miles off China's Huangyan Dao without gaining permission from the Chinese government. The Chinese Navy carried out identification and verification procedures in accordance with law and warned the US vessel to leave. What the US vessel did violated China's sovereignty and security interests, put the safety of Chinese vessels and personnel who were in the relevant waters for official duties under grave threat, and contravened the basic norms for international relations. China is strongly dissatisfied with that and will take necessary measures to firmly safeguard its sovereignty.
China has indisputable sovereignty over Huangyan Dao and the adjacent waters. China always respects and safeguards the freedom of navigation and overflight in the South China Sea all countries are entitled to under international law. But we firmly oppose any country using navigation and overflight freedom as an excuse to hurt China's sovereignty and security interests. We strongly urge the US side to immediately correct its mistake and stop making such provocative moves so as to avoid undermining China-US relations and regional peace and stability.

The more n more so the Duterte Govt. better rethink a thousand times on it’s plan for Joint Exploration with China under any circumstances.
Let’s not forget during Ex US State Sec. Hilary Clinton when Beijing tried n threatened to claim parts of Guam n Hawaii areas, which then Sec State replied “You can very well try if u can..”
It just shows how greedy these bastards are, that once you let your guard down, they will try to grab that opportunity.
I bet if we were not Allied with the US under MDT, could have been game over for PH a long time ago...

As US goes quiet on close naval patrols, China speaks out Greg Torode and Philip Wen, Reuters
Posted at Jan 23 2018 03:36 PM
HONG KONG/BEIJING - While the Pentagon plays down patrols close to Chinese-controlled reefs and islands in the South China Sea, Beijing is sounding the alarm about them, seeking to justify what experts say will be an even greater presence in the disputed region.
Chinese officials publicized the latest US "freedom of navigation patrol", protesting the deployment last week of the destroyer USS Hopper to within 12 nautical miles of Scarborough Shoal, an atoll west of the Philippines which Beijing disputes with Manila.

'US presence matters' says admiral on carrier in the South China Sea Ayee Macaraig, Agence France-Presse
Posted at Feb 15 2018 12:23 PM | Updated as of Feb 15 2018 12:24 PM
ABOARD THE USS CARL VINSON - With a deafening roar the fighter jets catapulted off the US aircraft carrier and soared above the disputed South China Sea, as its admiral vowed that the mighty ship's presence was proof America still had regional clout.
"US presence matters," Rear Admiral John Fuller told reporters on board the USS Carl Vinson. "I think it's very clear that we are in the South China Sea. We are operating."
The Carl Vinson, one of the US Navy's longest-serving active carriers, is currently conducting what officials say is a routine mission through the hotly contested waters where years of island reclamation and military construction by Beijing has rattled regional nerves.
Following criticism that the Trump administration's commitment to the Asian region has been distracted by North Korea, reporters were flown onto the ship Wednesday as it sailed through the sea.

The Amis today are a little soft and passive today compared to previous generations ago who faced terrible odds in Bataan, Wake island, Midway, Korea and Vietnam.
Sailing near those PLA installations is not enough. They should have buzzed those installations with fighter jets.
