@Oweng, Andres and to the rest of you gentlemen here in this forum.

Are there more people like you in your country? I may or may not totally agree with your opinions, but it's people like you (people with awareness) that should dictate or be in places of influence instead of what you currently have. You can make a difference.

I just hope that the day soon comes when patriotism and national interest comes before personal financial/political gain. It's Filipinos like you which actually gives me hope that my adopted homeland will eventually get things right.

Un cerveza por pabor y cerveza para todos aqui. Salud.

:armycheers: I will do my part as Filipino as much as I can. It's good to hear that some people appreciates our opinions from time to time, when others see some of our inputs to be out of place or simple as "not their cup of tea" for this beloved forum of ours and even sometimes our inputs goes straight to "humour", classified as garbage. But in reality, not all of them are that bad, some even might come in handy, due to PH current situation.

China declares victory in US surveillance overflight
05/22/2015 6:57 PM
Agence France-Presse

BEIJING, China - China declared victory on Friday over an encounter with a US surveillance aircraft overflying the contested South China Sea, saying its military "drove away" the intruder with radio warnings.

Beijing is in the throes of a rapid land-reclamation programme in the area, building artificial islands and facilities including an airstrip -- raising tensions with Washington and the risk of a standoff on the high seas.

Yes China, this is the only way you can win a victory over the US in WPS, "IN YOUR DREAMS!!!" :bs:

WHY DON'T YOU SEND SOME OF YOUR "BRITTLE" FIGHTER JETS TO HARASS AND FORCE THE US SURVEILLANCE AIRCRAFT OUT OF KIG, LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS... You will be facing "ALPHA MIKE FOXTROT!" :devilwink:

Maybe, it will only take just half or 3/4 of the 7th fleet to annihilate the whole PLAN, PLAAF.
Dapat talaga sa inyo eh sina sampolan na to shut you up! :armyLol:

Hahaha. These retards are the only ones who believe their own lies.

The Chinese government expressed “strong dissatisfaction” with the surveillance flights, while urging the United States to cease actions that they said risked increasing tensions. Hong Lei, the Foreign Ministry spokesman, warned that the American flights, which he called “very irresponsible and dangerous,” were “likely to cause an accident.”

It's a rare occasion indeed when the victor complains. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

The Chinese government has a strange way of doing things. :dunno:

Haha! Speaking of Surveillance Aircrafts, thus anybody here remember when they (China) helped with the search for the missing Malaysian plane MH370?

We saw how state of the art are those US Poseidons, even the US P3 Orions, now remember the newly built PLA huge "surveillance aircraft" that they brought to help and displayed in Australia, during the search, if Im not mistaken, the inside was just full of PLA soldiers, one for each window :armyLol: , with the soldiers clutching binoculars, I didn't see any state of the art search equipments like those from the US inside their plane.
THAT's THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT ALL THEIR TOYS, there were some reports before allegedly, that most of the PLAAF pilots are hesitant on flying those birds and that they are just forced to fly those J series fighter jets...
How I wonder about their J20 "Stealth" that they always try to do a demo flight, everytime a US Official visits Beijing, everytime you see their demo flights, it looked like it's having a hard time climbing, with no sudden movements at all, as if the wings would break if it goes further... Lollol!

Audio and Video of the U.S. P-8A aircraft defying China’s Navy warnings to leave airspace over disputed islands | the aviationist

South China Sea Incident
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwgdp-jDtEM
Quote:

Interestingly, the U.S. aircraft replies to the Chinese Navy operators urging it to leave their area “quickly” as follows:

“Station calling U.S. military plane, please identify yourself”.

Then, after receiving confirmation that it was a People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) operator, the answer is always the same: “I’m a U.S. military aircraft conducting lawful military activities outside national airspace; I’m operating with due regard as required under International Law.”

The audio seems to be disturbed by some kind of jamming.

Global Hawk targeted over disputed South China Sea islands | freebeacon - May 22, 2015
Quote:

Pacific Air Forces spokeswoman Rebekah Clark declined to comment on Global Hawk surveillance flights near the Spratlys because of “operational security.”

The high-altitude drones are based at Anderson Air Force Base in Guam on a rotational basis. “From Guam, the Global Hawk supports U.S. intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance priorities, operational plans, and contingency operations through the Pacific Theater,” Clark said.

<snipped>

Rick Fisher, a China military affairs analyst, said China could increase pressure on the United States to halt surveillance flights in Asia by first attacking one of the unmanned aircraft flights.

<snipped>

Beijing also might attempt to capture a Global Hawk by causing one to crash in shallow water, or by attempting to snatch one in flight using a manned aircraft.

@Ayoshi,

I like this part ^Excerpts:
Quote:

“In response the U.S. should be cooperating with … the Philippines, offering Philippines multiple squadrons of multirole fighters and offering them hundreds of ATACMS short range ballistic missiles able to blast China’s islands if China should attack Philippine assets.”

Fisher said only when U.S. and Philippines forces have the capability to destroy China’s new island bases will there be any chance that Beijing will consider reasonable behavior.

China Issues 8 Warnings to US Surveillance Plane in South China Sea
China’s navy issued a warning to a U.S. P8-A Poseidon surveillance aircraft over disputed waters in the South China Sea.

Foreign military aircraft. This is Chinese navy. You are approaching our military alert zone. Leave immediately.

These are the words heard over a crackling radio in a new video posted by CNN this morning, one of at least eight warnings sent to a U.S. P8-A Poseidon surveillance aircraft by the Chinese navy. According to the report, the People’s Liberation Army-Navy’s warnings came as the P8-A flew over disputed islands in the South China Sea — specifically, over China’s man-made islands. The report notes that the source of these transmissions was a facility on “an island made by China some 600 miles from its coastline.” The report does not definitively specify which reclaimed reef hosted the facility, but it is implied in comments from the commander of the U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM) P8 fleet that the warning came from an early warning radar facility Fiery Cross Reef. The incident is reported to have occurred on May 20, 2015.

Two matters stand out about this episode. First, the mere fact that we’re seeing this report and, better yet, watching video footage, is a sign that PACOM wants to be very open about this. By inviting a CNN reporter aboard the P8-A, the Pentagon clearly wanted the world to get the message that China is starting to assert its claims to these disputed territories. The report notes that this is the first time the U.S. Department of Defense has declassified video and audio of China’s island-building in the South China Sea and the Chinese navy’s warnings to the United States.
