How many years are these new pilots should served the PAF as an obligatory service for their "free" education? I think in the PMA is 8 years.
And tell me again, how come the PAFFS Aviation cadet porgram was abolished? It used to be where most of the PAG CG came from.
Thank you . . . and God bless our new pilots. May they have "new" aircraft to fly soon.

Lot of pilots but few aircraft to fly....i hope that all T41 will go to Training school and the new SF260s will be for the Strike Wing. Maybe allocating for 4 samples of SF260s for Training. How about acquiring those ex-Singaporean S211 jets and upgrade them to Warrior types.

I think Singapore has 24 units of S211 jets and they are well maintained.

They will just turn into OFW, that way they will increase their skills and bring $ remittances in the country. That is better than stagnate in their offices and add to payroll due to lack of aircraft.

Now if war came, allies can deliver aircraft to us in a day. But you cant train a pilot in a day.
Modernization should prioritize:

Patrol Ships with air/sub/ship detection, fast & lightly armed for Navy.
Surface Attack Aircraft with anti ship/sub attack capability for Airforce.
SAM with Radars, Close AA battery capable of shooting ground targets too for Army.
This triangle defense will work together and protect us from external threats.

I think it's better the PAF get the A-20 HAVOC
as the newest fighter/bomber for the PAF
to compliment all active aircrafts.
This would make our new pilots happy.

:fire:
This aircraft the A-20 Havoc can carry more
bombs, can fly at night/recon,can still be given modern
weaponry/upgrades,longer range aircraft.
This will greatly affect the outcome of the
War on Terrorism in Mindanao.

It can be crewed by some
Fil-Am pilots for the PAF or even our local
PAF pilots who will be trained by the USAFFE in Baguio city.

SOME 20 pilots of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) have resigned from military service over the past few weeks to join local commercial airlines.

The bulk of those who tendered their resignations were combat pilots from the 15th Strike Wing based in Sangley Point, Cavite and the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing based in Mactan.

I can understand a 15SW pilot. But what about 205HW pilots? We're they trained to fly fixed wing too by the PAF or the airlines have a lot of openings for helo pilots?
