Shooting of 2 Chinese nationals stumps probers, but PNP deems it priority

MANILA – The Philippine National Police has been directed to exert “maximum efforts to track and arrest the assailants” of two Chinese nationals shortly before midnight of Friday, at the boundary of Pasay City and Manila, as the motive for the shooting stumped probers.

Chief Supt. Ruben Theodore Sindac, chief of PNP’s Public Information Office, provided Palace officials an update of the incident that occurred at around 11:30 pm of May 2, along Balagtas St. at the boundary of Pasay City and Manila City.

Besides the two men, initially said to be “connected with China Airlines,” a nurse from Hong Kong was also reportedly injured when the gunmen opened fire on the Chinese nationals.
