The Aquino Government should instruct the PN, PM and PCG to be on red alert status in WPS amid the planned US Military strike on Syria, we all know and must learn from past mistakes, experiences that China usually have the tendency to take advantage of these kind of situations..
"When the Big Cat is away, the Rat will play and may take advantage of the situations to steal the cheese from the helpless mice.."

There's a big possibility we might get surprised one day, like suddenly see our PM soldiers deployed in the BRP Sierra Madre returning to home base Palawan, unarmed, helplessly getting kicked out of the area, to be honest, the clock is ticking....

PN should have at least (2) PN ships on rotational deployment basis in 2nd Thomas shoal, to help secure, protect & support those deployed PMs in the area.

Ph may have to learn their lessons the hard way. This is why we should heavily pursue for more funds for the military. When war starts those overfed porks will realize their mistakes.
You never know those people may be right that 2012 is the beginning of the end but all i know is that history may repeat itself for the 3rd time showing that we never learn our lesson.

All of our worries will happen since our elected officials has no sense of urgency. Remember the delays in the frigates? The cancellation of the maestrales? The splitting of the squadron of LIFT, and etc...

It will be very easy for the chicoms to disarm the marines stationed in BRP sierra madre. Remember the orders of the chief of staff 2 years ago. "Una-una, soldiers should protect themselves kasi wala tayong iputok". The elected officials are not still awakened by that grim reality. They have to station at least 2 PCEs in those area. I dont know what the PCEs are doing here in GenSan, Davao, and Polloc areas when these ships are more needed in wps. Jose Andrada class may suffice for the need to patrol the abovementioned areas.

mas na pretect p nila si Napoles kaysa Ayungin...well the sad part will be the Chicoms will eventually take Ayungin shoal by just put on standby their CMS and our armed forces just monitors their illegal activities...sooo depressing and saddening to what has transpired again...

People, it's too late for now for us to play the blame game. We need thoughtful ideas on how to defend not only the shoals, but our nationhood as a whole.

An idea would an escalation of sending forces to counter Chinese "aggression" on the shoals. This is a great gamble in that if the Chinese are sufficiently taken aback by our reaction, they might be confused and make mistakes. If, however, they do not blink, they could make use of our act as a reason to send in more forces and enforce open warfare. This option is therefore not viable for the time being.

Another idea, the idea I think our government is taking, is to let the Chinese do their thing on the islands while we wait on the UNCLOS decision. When the decision would be in our favor (and I think it would be) then we would a. send in our forces to battle the PLAN forts and occupy them or b. call reinforcements from our treaty partner/s, make a Pearl Harbor-esque campaign without the surprise factor then occupy the reefs. However, the risk would be in the amount of time before the UNCLOS decision is reached and if the UNCLOS decision somehow tips in favor of the Chinese.

Now, the best option we could take is to just encourage our fellow Filipinos to vote wisely and to vote responsibly, not vote on how much politicians could fill the voters' pockets for the time being.
Success through information, victory through disinformation.

We also have the right to send our PN Ships in 2nd Thomas Shoal like one ship, to play and act as supply ship at the same time.
Their main duties are just to monitor, replenish give security and support to our PMs deployed in the area only. NO policing duties to shooh away Chinese illegal activities.

We're not trying to escalate the situation, it is our right to do this considering it's ours and we have some foot soldiers stationed in the area.

If and when they make some mistake of shooting at us, that invokes our MDT w/ the US, also considering pretty soon we'll have temporary basing agreements w/ the US.

This can be good news for us, for they will require certain (NM radius) to secure their assets, just like when they had bases here in Clark n Subic, we can see the difference when they started voicing out from previous reports regarding when they indirectly opposed and warned increase Chinese illegal activities in 2nd Thomas Shoal..
I think by next year, especially natuloy ang new agreement w/ the US, we might see a fast track result of our UNCLOS ruling, favouring us.. We might see them helping us kicking out PLA squatters, Poachers particularly in areas like Mischief Reef, Scarborough shoal which are very close to our Mainland EEZs. (KIG not included)

The reason why they are trying to do all these things is because they want to fortify their illegal claims to our territories. The same strategy as Scar...

Let us remember the warning of the US, for any Country NOT to change the status quo in WPS/ KIG, we have boots and small assets in the area, we have been controlling it ever since. Sending in at least one ship at a time like PN/ PCG on a rotational basis is just normal considering the area is technically ours under UNCLOS.

"Yung senario na example ko from previous post can easily happen, covert op lang ang gawin nila at dis-armahan sila tapos pasakayin sila sa isang fishing boat para ipahatid sa Palawan, dahil walang deterence.."

I also have the feeling that they are trying to secure and take what they can, before the ITLOS ruling comes out, "mas marami silang ma occupy, mas mahirapan tayo magpatupad at paalisin sila sa area to make it the same like status quo in Spratly."

Just my 2 cents. :salute:
