And they have the nerve to say things like this as if we are the ones trespassing on other people waters and stealing resources i say cut ties with this arrogant geniuss
They are arrogant, they are thieves, but they at least are smart enough to actually make sure they can back their words -no matter how false.

MSantor is not a man of sound reason. Savages have always preferred the club for they know that they are powerless against the pen. But who is the greater fool - the savage or the one that gives him power? May Truth rebuke you.

China digs up details vs PH on Ayungin (rappler.com)
03/18/2014
Quote:

For China, the Aquino administration should heed these promises whether or not aligned with the Philippines' current policy. Otherwise, the Philippines risks its "credibility."

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei explained that the Philippines, in 1999, made an "unequivocal commitment to China on many occasions that it would tow away the ship" grounded in Ayungin.

Hong said the Philippines claimed the ship was grounded due to "malfunction."

Hong said the Philippines, in 2003, "made another solemn commitment that it would not become the first country to violate" the Declaration on the Conduct (DOC) of Parties in the South China Sea in connection to Ayungin.

To China, YES, the Philippines didn't break it's commitment on NOT to become the first Country to violate the DOC, because China was the first Country to violate, Head VIOLATOR of DOC, UNCLOS, Illegal Poaching activities of endangered species etc.!!! :sniper:

Ayungin supply drops to continue
By Alexis Romero (The Philippine Star)
March 19, 2014 - 12:00am

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines will continue to send supplies to its troops on Ayungin (Second Thomas) Shoal despite fresh warnings from China, which has set up a naval blockade in the area.

A security official said the Philippines has the right to support its military forces on the shoal as the area is well within its exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

“We reiterate that (Ayungin Shoal) is within our EEZ. It is but our duty to provide for our own troops. These are Filipino settlements,” said the official, who requested anonymity because of lack of authority to talk on the matter.

The official said the Philippines has been abiding by the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, which seeks to resolve the territorial dispute peacefully.

Shhh... Someone here thinks amphibious planes are useless. He was quite adamant about his stand if I recall correctly.

Ex-security adviser Golez says China gearing up to seize Ayungin
March 19, 2014 9:29pm

Former National Security Adviser Roilo Golez on Wednesday warned of China's supposed plan to occupy Ayungin Shoal, noting Beijing's recent aggressive moves to control it.

“I believe China's next move is to seize and occupy Ayungin Shoal, placing in grave jeopardy our Philippine Marine detachment there,” said Golez in his blog.

Golez, also a former lawmaker, was referring to the military outpost that was set up in 1999 to mark Ayungin as part of Philippine territory.

In December 1999, Golez, then a Parañaque congressman, delivered a privilege speech warning of China's plan to seize Scarborough Shoal “in their bid to secure full control of the world's busiest international sea lane,” referring to the South China Sea.

“Now we have the Ayungin Shoal situation. We have the BRP Sierra Madre there, with a small detachment of Philippine marines. Ayungin is well within our EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone), only 105 nautical miles from Palawan, yet, distant China claims this feature,” said Golez.

<snipped>

In his blog, Golez said seizing Ayungin Shoal “will be a child's play for China compared to their brutality in seizing the Paracels from Vietnam in 1974 and in the 1988 naval encounter in the Johnson Reef area where three Vietnamese ships were sunk and more than 70 Vietnamese sailors killed.”

Golez noted that the Ayungin Shoal is “very close” to the Chinese-occupied Panganiban (Mischief) Reef “and a Philippine military presence (Ayungin) there is a threat to China's illegal occupation of Mischief Reef.”

“China's military occupation of Ayungin would give them two stations mutually supporting each other. Ayungin would be a very potent part of their 'string of pearls' to the East of the South China Sea with its northernmost outpost and in strategic Scarborough Shoal,” he said.

Aside from being a lawmaker and national security adviser, Golez is also a retired Navy captain and a product of the US Naval Academy. He one of the convenors of the West Philippine Sea Coalition, a multi-sectoral group supporting the country's cause in the South China Sea dispute.

here's the link to the blog post of Rep. Golez: http://roilogolez.blogspot.com/2014/03/clear-and-present-danger-how.html

he concluded his blog post by writing this:

Quote:

The Philippines must prepare for China's move on Ayungin, in the event the irrational, territorial minds in China prevail and they adopt a military solution to their Ayungin objective placing in grave jeopardy our Philippine Marine detachment there, towards their goal of seizing the Recto Bank.

We should now accelerate our defense build-up that can provide us a credible, potent defense capability that we can use in a few months, at most a year, to complement the big ticket items that we plan to procure, like brand new frigates and the FA-50s from South Korea that will become available only in three to four years after the orders are consummated. We needed that credible, potent defense capability yesterday.

Since the buildup of our warship capability obviously will take time, the measly 2 brand new missile-armed frigates is still not known and although the 2 high endurance cutters were already here but the truth is they're defenseless against the PLA navy, and it will take 2 years before we get our first two modern jets, then what can we do?
We should not waste more time here. Everybody in the know knows its only a matter of time before those damned chinks occupy Ayungin Shoal and I certainly believe that they will be able to do it without really firing a shot. They know that this is the right time to do it, they will not wait until we get our first modern frigate and combat jet. This is the perfect time and they are not known to wasting a golden opportunity. Unless we are assured that American jets and warships will come to the rescue of our marines stationed in that decrepit symbol of our territory which is the Sierra Madre, what we have to do is ask for those combat-ready Israeli Kfir jets right away, at least a dozen of them, and have it delivered to us right away. We have to do something concrete to show them that we are really serious in holding on to Ayungin Shoal. We're just all talk and they know it full well.
Have the 12 Kfirs delivered to us by the Israelis right away and have them all deployed in Palawan. This will be a very big statement, a big stick but certainly not just our big stick. Ask the Israelis to deliver the jets within one month.
Another thing that we have to do is adopt their own strategy of anti-access, area denial. This are shore-based anti-ship missiles and SAMs. I don't think buying at the very least, 50 ship-destroying missiles and having these strategically deployed around Palawan will be difficult, plus a network of surface to air missiles. This should be our priority instead of waiting for the 2 frigates and the 12 lead-in fighters.

Plus we should have something to threathen their garrison in Mischief reef, preferably missiles, cruise missiles maybe, I don't know. We must possess the capability to destroy that garrison, that radar dome to be more specific. If hostilities were to erupt, that radar dome must be destroyed first.
For the Anti-access/area denial strategy, we must have, yes we must, if we want a fighting chance against the Chinese, mobile, shore-based, long-range deadly accurate anti-ship missiles, to be strategically deployed around Palawan, this missiles should be able to acquire and target even the most modern and sophisticated destroyers and frigates of the PLA, including the stealth ones. Plus a network of SAMs, in case they decide to employ their long-range strategic bombers and fighters.
