MANILA - (UPDATE2- 6:31PM) Cavite province’s police director has relieved Superintendent Conrado Villanueva, Tanza town’s police chief implicated in Sunday’s murder of tabloid reporter Rubylita Garcia, pending investigation of the shooting.

This, as the Philippine National Police released a sketch of the gunman. Citing the account of a witness, police described the gunman as male, more or less 30 years old, six feet in height, of medium build, fair complexion and tattoo in the arms.

Cavite police director Senior Supt. Joselito Esquivel Jr. said Monday, “I have already issued him (Villanueva) an order for administrative relief after his name was mentioned by a witness. I assured Villanueva’s availability to face further investigation as warranted by evidence,” Esquivel said.
