well I hope our country will get more Allies to support us against China Land Grabbing.
what Annoy's me lot this days specially in other forums it seems their are many Chibot's posting arround and saying things like they will nuke Philippines and other things like that.
when Japan Announce that they are planning to have a preemptive stike capability in the future(by using their future Destroyer/Carrier and cruise missile capability for thier AEGIS ship) a Chibot's posted that Japan should think twice if they didn't want to get nuke the third time.
The Chinese Government feed thier people with such arrogant knowledge that they think that it's ok for their country to grab other territory and nuking other country.

Maybe they need more active/vigilant moderators. Or maybe a larger trash bin section.

Chinese paper hits AFP move to Subic
- Quote:
-
MANILA, Philippines - China believes the Philippine plan to relocate major air force and navy bases to the former US naval base in Subic Bay in the West Philippine Sea is aimed at increasing pressure on it and bringing in more outside forces to the region.
In a report in the state-owned newspaper China Daily, Li Guoqiang, deputy director of the Center for Chinese Borderland History and Geography at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said the Philippines is building up and concentrating military forces near the South China Sea to target China.
“If all related parties resort to military means as Manila has for a resolution, the region will surely become a powder keg,” Li said.
Li sees the move as a violation of the spirit of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC) and increases the risk of conflict in the region, the report added.
At the 46th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Ministerial Meeting in Brunei, Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario said the persistence of destabilizing actions in the West Philippine Sea continues to pose serious challenges for the whole region and is a violation of the DOC.
Del Rosario rebuffed Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s allegations against the Philippines at the regional security forum.

US assisting Phl in sea patrol – DFA
- Quote:
-
MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed yesterday that unmanned US Navy surveillance planes conduct patrols to help monitor activities in Philippine waters, particularly in the South China Sea.
DFA spokesman Raul Hernandez said US drones fly over Philippine waters during joint military exercises with the United States.
Hernandez said the joint exercises involve the use of P3C Orion aircraft and are aimed at upgrading the skills of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
“Every now and then, we have military exercises that involve US aircraft. One of the primary purposes is to upgrade the skills of the military in terms of maritime domain awareness as well as search and rescue,” Hernandez said.
“We need to tap every resource available to know what is going on in our seas,” he added.
A classified government document seen by Kyodo News on Friday confirmed that US Navy surveillance planes conduct routine maritime patrol in the South China Sea, particularly in the contested Spratly Islands.

US is Encircling China with Fighter Jets and Stealth Bombers
Article
Some defense and security links:
This is likely to make China none too happy. At a Washington, DC breakfast on Monday, Air Force Gen. Herb Carlisle, the USAF’s top commander in the Pacific, basically stated that the U.S. plans to encircle China with its most capable aircraft over the next few years. Over at Breaking Defense, Colin Clark reports that Carlisle said that the first Air Force F-35’s will be deployed to the Pacific, and are likely to be stationed at bases in Misawa, Japan; Kadena, Japan; Osan Air Base, Korea; and Kunsan Air Base, Korea. Singapore will also purchase the F-35s. Clark also quotes the general as saying the USAF will send "fighters, tankers, and at some point in the future, maybe bombers on a rotational basis," to a base in Darwin, Australia.
Meanwhile, John Reed of Foreign Policy reports that Carlisle also said (in Reed’s words) that the USAF will also be, “sending jets to Changi East air base in Singapore, Korat air base in Thailand, a site in India, and possibly bases at Kubi Point and Puerto Princesa in the Philippines and airfields in Indonesia and Malaysia.” As Reed sums it up, “This means the Air Force will sen[d] large numbers of F-22 Raptors, F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, and B-2 stealth bombers to the region.”
In other news likely to thrill China, in response to a letter from U.S. Representative Robert Andrews (D-NJ), the Defense Department has confirmed it is still considering a request by Taiwan for a design and feasibility study of it potentially purchasing diesel submarines. “The Department of Defense will continue to consider carefully any Taiwan requests for defense articles and services,” Under Secretary of Defense for Policy James Miller said in a response to the letter, according to Taipei Times.
The U.S. authorized the sale of eight diesel submarines to Taiwan but Taipei failed to respond to the offer until 2008, when it asked to conduct a feasibility study, the report said.
Times of India reports that the Ministry of Defense in Delhi is seizing upon an inter-service spate within India’s military to try and undermine proposals for the armed forces to create its own joint chiefs of staff. India can agree that it should offer Vietnam—which it is joint exploring for energy in the South China Sea with—a US$100 million line of credit so Hanoi can buy four patrol boats, according to The Hindu.
China is not taking its neighbors and the U.S. balancing against it lying down. It is once again conducting joint military exercises with Russia, and is considering expanding military ties with the United Kingdom.
Over at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, Peter Jennings and Tobias Feakin have a new report which argues that after the 2013 general elections, the new Australian government should publish a new whitepaper on cybersecurity within a year.

The Diplomat F-22, F-35, B-1(with 20 LRASM), B-2 and probably the future LRBS on the Pacific literally many in strategic area will be very hard to beat because all of them are stealth.
Just for a thought would you think some F-35 will be temporarily station here 6 years from now if we forged an agreement with the American for temporary based. that would now completely encircle the Chinese.

US Senate calls for peace in West Philippine Sea
- Quote:
-
MANILA, Philippines - American Senator Robert Menendez, chairman of the foreign relations committee, said the disputes in East and South China Seas are brought about by jockeying for position in a region that will become the center of trade and commerce in the coming years.
"The territorial disputes at play in the Asia-Pacific region today are not about the past, but very much about the future of a region poised to serve as an epicenter for global economic development for the 21st century," Menendez said.
Calling for peace in the seas, Menendez said the US will intervene through diplomacy in the disputes mainly involving China's claims over territories that the Philippines, Vietnam and Japan affirm as theirs.
"With a long history of engagement in the region, the United States has a vital interest in working with all nations in developing, institutionalizing, and sustaining a rules-based order for the area. That starts with putting in place effective mechanisms to manage maritime disputes that destabilize the region, and supporting and encouraging the peaceful resolution of disputes in the Asia-Pacific maritime domain," he said.
Menendez sponsored US Senate Resolution 167 calling for peaceful resolutions in maritime rows in the Pacific, which was unanimously approved by the chamber Monday.
The resolution cites the Philippines efforts in elevating the matter to an international arbitration court and quotes Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario as saying that the country has "exhausted almost all political and and diplomatic avenues for a peaceful negotiated settlement of its maritime dispute with China."

For a country to confidently claim that: "Causing trouble in the S. China Sea will hurt Manila" and that the "Feeble Japanese-Philippine 'axis' is doomed", they sure show unusual concern about how you do your business. I wonder why... Is that because "the dog" has done what no nation in the region managed to do: "Thwart China in its drive to control the vast waters around it."? It is time they deal with you as an equal and with genuine good intent. I'm sure it would be better for all. Their aggressive mentality has proven counter-productive and only pushed the Philippines closer to its allies.
