'FAKE NEWS' | China denies reports of building on disputed shoal
By: Reuters | With InterAksyon.com
March 22, 2017 5:48 PM

BEIJING - China's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday denied reports that China will begin preparatory work this year for an environmental monitoring station on disputed Scarborough Shoal in the South China Sea.

The denial came, however, a full five days after media reports quoted the mayor of Sansha City - which China developed as an administrative base for the South China Sea islands and reefs it controls - was quoted as having made the claim about plans to build the station. The claim triggered alarm in Manila, as Scarborough is just off the Luzon mainland, and sparked demands for an explanation from Beijing.

China seized the shoal, which is northeast of the Spratly islands, in 2012 and denied access to Philippine fishermen. But after President Rodrigo Duterte visited China last year, it allowed them to return to the traditional fishing area.

Ay pucha blame game (sorry for my language due to dismay).

Pagaari ntin iba sisihin? Ay etomak(reverse the letters) ka.

Send a strong representation to China to stop their illegal occupation. Stop blaming, Mr. President, a piece of advise.

Forget jet skis, Chinese choppers can take Duterte to disputed islands | philstar - March 23, 2017
Quote:

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has backtracked on his campaign promise to take a jet ski to the disputed islands in the West Philippine Sea to assert the country's sovereignty.

"Maya-maya makasagasa ka pa ng pating diyan," Duterte said in a televised press briefing upon arriving from Thailand early Thursday.

The president said that Chinese officials personally offered to take him to the islands so he can plant the Philippine flag.

"Ganun ang party nila, kumain kami. Sabi niya ang magtanong isang general, 'Mag-jet ski ka?' Sabi ko, 'Oo.' Sa isa, 'Bakit?' 'Gusto mong pumunta doon?' 'Oo.' 'Sige, kukuha ng helicopter dalhin ka namin doon, magdala ka ng flag doon o bayang magiliw tayong lahat,'" Duterte said.

He did not misquote China. He's just so stnp!d to admire them with their sweet words.
Sabi noon ng China, let's quote:
1. They will not build anything. After several years, nagulat nalang lahat na meron naidevelop.
2. They will not build island. After several years, may islands na
3. The Island is for civilian only and will not put Military items. Then meron military
4. The Military daw is for the protection of the area. Eventually, starting harassing others.

Ang style ngayon ng goberyno, "wait and see".
Tsk tsk tsk. He is the representation of the country. If he showed how stup!d he can be in believing the Chinese sweet words, it projects that PH nation is stup!d for believing them.

https://sg.news.yahoo.com/philippines-china-hold-direct-talks-sea-row-091725923.html

The president will give new additional tripple-win for China.
Win #1 & 2: China will successfully implement "cabbage strategy" by bilateral, thus, (2) getting away again with the international court rule.
Win #3: "China has a word of honour," Duterte said. "Whatever China says, in good stead, it will really do.".
Gng4g0 ba tayo ng Pres Du30 or sya tlga ang g4g0?

I don't believe for a second that he is "estufid", lazy - yes, but "estufid"? No.

It's pretty obvious to me from day 1, he is in China's payroll. All this EJK, all these controversies are all just diversions. He knows fully well what he is doing. China will make him a very wealthy man.

Philippines, China to hold direct talks on sea row: DFA
By: Agence France-Presse
March 29, 2017 4:23 PM

MANILA - China and the Philippines will hold direct talks on their maritime dispute in May, Filipino officials said Wednesday, as President Rodrigo Duterte seeks stronger economic ties with Beijing.

Last year a United Nations-backed international tribunal rejected Beijing's claims to most of the South China Sea, including disputed areas close to the coasts of its neighbors.

But Duterte, elected last year, has played down that ruling and pushed for rapprochement with China as he seeks billions of dollars in trade and investment from it.

China: 'no such thing' as man-made islands in South China Sea
By: Reuters
March 31, 2017 12:14 AM

BEIJING - There was "no such thing" as man-made islands in the disputed South China Sea, China's Defense Ministry said on Thursday, and reiterated that any building work was mainly for civilian purposes.

China, which claims most of the resource-rich region, has carried out land reclamation and construction on several islands in the Spratly archipelago, parts of which are also claimed by Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam.

The building has included airports, harbors and other facilities, involving in some cases the dumping of massive amounts of sand to build up land on what were reefs or structures that may only have been exposed at low tide.

Most Pinoys want govt to assert rights over West PH Sea, distrust China and Russia - survey
By: Tricia Aquino, InterAksyon.com
January 27, 2017 1:27 PM

MANILA, Philippines -- Most Filipinos believe the government should assert its rights over the West Philippine Sea, in the same way many of them do not trust either China or Russia.

On the other hand, traditional allies United States and Japan still enjoy a lot of trust from Filipinos.

This is according to a Pulse Asia survey conducted from December 6 to 11, 2016 among 1,200 adult respondents across the country. It has a ± 3 margin of error.

The results of the survey showed that 76 percent of respondents trust ("a great deal" and "a fair amount") the US, and 70 percent trust Japan, with only 38 percent saying they trust China and Russia. Also, 74 percent said they trust the United Nations.
