Chinese and Taiwanese I refer to are the govt. I thought that was pretty obvious because that is the subject of conversation.

you should ask for clarification 1st rather than make assumptions.

Is that it? I've used it a hundred times and so have others. Why direct the complain at one person instead of making an announcement??

Besides the news and commentaries have called the Filipinos all kinds of names too........including the term "savages." Chink is a pretty light term when u consider what they have called us.
Just because they've said ignorant things about us doesn't mean we should copy them.

And chink is a very racist term. And that is the last time you will contradict what I said when you have been warned.

There are Chinoys at this forum who are very nationalistic towards the Philippines more than their ancestral homeland and would take offence at what you said. :nono:

Stop saying it or I will remove your posting privileges for 30 days.

If you believe that we Pinoys are better people, demonstrate that by acting civilly and not by saying things that would make you as ignorant as those who insult you.

Like it or not Wily, he is right. It is a derogatory term no matter how "light" you think it is. You probably are based in the US, thus you should know that those "light/slight" derogatory terms will get you into the same amount of trouble in the US more than in any other country as there is really no distinction. No can say what the limits to the classification of the word "light".

It wouldn't hurt really just to call them Chinese. If they consider you a savage, then prove them wrong. Stooping to their level wouldn't change their opinion of you anyway.

Hong, we are not in the USA. We are in cyberspace. This unregulated part of the universe is just too vicious for the Filipinos. If you don't stand up for yourselves, who will!

Whatever suits you mate. Wouldn't want you to leave though. However, if you are... It's been a pleasure.

Analyzing every post that wily have made he's just so into the topic or should i say rage from what the taiwanese and chinese have been saying unto us..
We have to remember that the very first adjective that chinese/taiwanese that given to us was "barbaric", "savages" and later on "monkeys" and "beggars"..
If wily pronounced "chink" at one post ill say that just leave him that be.
I would love to say my opinion as well its just like wily was reading my mind and my views dont matter anymore cos he already covered it.
This issue was already created so much emotion and it saddened me that we filipinos has now to fight or trade insult with each other and oh boy the chinese for sure would love it to happen.
Im sorry for dipping in to your discussion.

Taiwan thanks China for condemning PH over fisherman's death

The council thanked Beijing for condemning Manila's behavior, which the council described as "belligerent, irrational and violates international law."

However, the council said Taiwan finds it unacceptable that the Philippines negotiates the matter through China and it believes China will understand and respect Taiwan's wishes that it should not interfere in a dispute between Taiwan and a third party.

It urged all parties involved not to confuse the People's Republic of China with the Republic of China -- Taiwan's official name.

In Taiwan's view, "one China" refers to the Republic of China. However, China defines "one China" as the People's Republic of China, which regards Taiwan as a breakaway province.

Mainland China and Taiwan have been governed separately since they split amid a civil war in 1949.

Wow, did China just condemned the Philippines over the incident, the only country to do so? That totally came as a big surprise! Oh, and did I just read that China said, "belligerent, irrational and violates international law"

Chinese general reveals 'strategy' for Panatag takeover
By Camille Diola (philstar.com) | Updated May 31, 2013 - 6:44pm

MANILA, Philippines - A Chinese military general has revealed their strategy to take over Panatag Shoal (Scarborough) off Zambales province.

China Daily Mail reported that in a recent television interview, Major General Zhang Zhaozhong said that China's navy has been wrapping the disputed island like a "cabbage" with warships.

China calls the shoal, which is within the Philippines' 200-nautical miles exclusive economic zone, as Huangyan Island
. It claims virtually the entire South China Sea and West Philippine Sea.

In the online news site's transcript of the interview, Zhang explained at length China's strategy to a television host who called the Philippines' activities in the territory "rude" and "barbaric."

the racist comment, im sure he didnt mean it. however we should not act like this as we are acting the same as our adversary. we should be more civilised and mature.

anyway :btt:

IMO i didnt like what pcg did, my question is why did they did not board and stop the engine without firing a single bullet or use a hose pipe like what the japanese coast guard do.

as for chinas actions, very childish and immature in my opinion. first as a powerful country almost par with america, they should have a sense of responsibilty to maintain order and follow the law they agreed to. instead they break it and refuse to resolve the dispute in a peacefull civilised manner. secondly they had the balls to condem us and stated that they pleaded to us to resolve the problem peacfully and apparently according to them we refused :scared: :scared: :scared:
