Can we land our one C-130 full of supplies at Pag-asa or a barge full of construction materials, let's check out their reaction. :lollol: Can we do it when US destroyers, carrier, submarines are the area of Spratly. :scared:
We worry that they might shot the Herky bird down. Or maybe China will see this as much of a provocation so as to send their "real" navy vessels. But if the Yankees comes into play, then we could do it safe and sound.

Now they are worried.

BEIJING - A Foreign Ministry spokesman Monday urged the Philippines not to complicate the situation in the South China Sea, as recent media reports have stated the country may build infrastructure on the Nansha Islands.

"We have seen the reports and will closely watch the development of the situation," spokesman Hong Lei said during a regular news briefing.

Hong said China has indisputable sovereignty over the Nansha Islands and their adjacent waters and opposes any move that could impair China's sovereignty.

"We hope the country concerned will adhere to the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC) and not tak

Pag-asa island expansion not a 'complication' but an assertion of sovereignty - DFA

MANILA, Philippines – Plans bared by Filipino officials to develop Pag-asa island in the West Philippine Sea are merely an exercise of sovereignty, and should not be seen as complicating the continuing dispute between claimants, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.

DFA spokesman Raul Hernandez said Tuesday all countries must “respect” the reported plan of the Philippines to develop Pag-asa Island by expanding infrastructure there and scaling up the population, describing it as just an exercise of Philippine’s sovereignty over the 200-nautical mile exclusive economic zone ( EEZ).

“Pag-asa island is part of the KIG [Kalayaan Island Group] over which the Philippines exercises territorial sovereignty, jurisdiction and effective administration in accordance with international law. The waters and continental shelf around and between the KIG and the Philippine archipelago form part of the national territory of the Philippines” Hernandez said in a text message.

Amid Manila’s planned infrastructure development projects, China earlier urged the Philippines “not to complicate” the situation in the disputed sea.

@Santi, Yes you are right!

This article clearly explains that they only care about their own Sovereignty, their own personal interests and doesn't care about the Sovereignty of the rest of it's neighbors.

The Chi's are NOT WORRIED!...

It's their way of deceiving again by saying that we are aggravating the situation, as their own cover-up in the illegal grabbing and invasion of the PH territory, that they're increasingly aggravating the situation. Hindi sila aamin na mali sila dahil mga g@g0 sila.

PH to push upgrade of structures in Spratlys

The Philippines’ top diplomat on Wednesday said the country would push through with plans to upgrade infrastructure in its claimed parts of the contested Spratly islands in the West Philippine Sea even as it continues to seek a peaceful solution to the dispute.

Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario also reiterated the Philippines’ standing protest against China’s “bothersome” actions, citing the nine-dash line in China’s territorial map that encompasses the entire Spratly chain of islands and the Panatag (Scarborough) Shoal.

The DFA said China’s claims were “excessive” as it includes almost all territories in the South China Sea, including those within the Philippines’ maritime zone.

Del Rosario said the Philippines has filed roughly 15 official protests to Chinese incursions in the waters, among them sea patrols, the fortification of an administrative unit for the Spratlys, and a new maritime law allowing police interdiction of foreign ships in China’s southern coast.

Why do we always report these planned developments to the media? Why don't we just do it, then report it to the media when those projects are complete? China doesn't broadcast their plans to put up structures in the WPS. They want to surprise us and we can't do anything anymore. We should to the same.

Neither does Vietnam. Vietnam just puts up a grocery store and what nots. It only means 2 things. 1) They really don't intend to do it or 2) Yabang factor
