Realistically speaking, guys, the Government is left without any other option apart from whining about the issue. Our AFP - due to the government's failure to ensure it can fulill its constitutionally laid out duties to the nation - is nowhere close to being capable of defending out "territorial integrity" and "sovereignty" against Communist China.

The Chinese simply took advantage of a situation we have allowed ourselves to be lead into.

If you only START to act once you've realized that it's already too late, then there's no hope for you. And we've had enough lessons from history. Did we learn? No.

While speaking about America, I guess that these words apply quite well to our "demokrasya": a cynical oligarchy based on ignorant ochlocracy.

(and the genocide in rwanda heck they cant even agree with the meaning of genocide)

GENOCIDE. "The UN cannot agree on the meaning of the word".

The irony of bringing up that word. Does killing those who don't follow your customs and traditions (customs apparently which you get to decide) point to racial hatred? Which is as you stated happened in Rwanda? - since they are still debating on the intricacies of the word.

So "kill the chinks, expel them all" is okay for you because the UN cannot agree on what is GENOCIDE? I bow to such genius!

PH takes China to UN arbitral tribunal

Quote:

“The Philippines has exhausted almost all political and diplomatic avenues for a peaceful negotiated settlement of its maritime dispute with China……To this day, a solution is still elusive. We hope that the Arbitral Proceedings shall bring this dispute to a durable solution,” Del Rosario said.

“We hope that China would join us in this aspiration,” Del Rosario said.

Del Rosario noted that Solicitor General Francis H. Jardeleza has been tasked as the legal representative for the Philippines in these Arbitral proceedings.

“The lead counsel of the Philippines is Paul Reichler of Foley and Hoag LLP,” he said.

We have lots of big fishing boats! Why not bring them all to Scarborough with our three or more PCG boats and stay there...Then one or two fishing boats will go back to shore to replenish stocks like food for the stand-off...We dont need arms to rise up with the Chickoms as of this date kasi wala namn tayong arms e. Kung si Marcos napatalsik sa People Power, why not Boat Power sa Chickoms! :patrioticpinoy:

I think it is high time that the plan of Faeldon be materialize now... Nasaan n po b sya? :specool:

China's youth have already tried People Power. The results were not pretty.

First that Ellen Tordesillas article, then that story in USA Today, then Del Rosario finally taking it to arbitration . . . all within 48 hours.

(But what exactly are they asking for? Is it ITLOS and declaring Bajo de Masinloc a "rock", or have they found some legal justification to kick the real troublemaker out?)

Next the Maestrales and FA-50s.

Philippines Takes China to UN Over Sea Row

Updated: Tue, 22 Jan 2013 08:05:29 GMT | By Agence France-Presse

http://news.ph.msn.com/regional/philippines-takes-china-to-un-over-sea-row

"The Philippines has exhausted almost all political and diplomatic avenues for a peaceful negotiated settlement of its maritime dispute with China... we hope that the arbitral proceedings shall bring this dispute to a durable solution," he told a news conference.

Del Rosario said Manila had told Beijing's ambassador about the decision to take China to an arbitration tribunal under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, a 1982 treaty signed by both countries.

The Philippines in its submission says Beijing's so-called "nine-dash line" outlining its territorial claims over most of the sea, including waters and islands close to its neighbours, is illegal, according to del Rosario.

It also demands that China "desist from unlawful activities that violate the sovereign rights and jurisdiction of the Philippines under the 1982 UNCLOS", he added.
