Hmmm....media play...being discussed as to HOW?....so the chance is relatively small...they will just monitor it...but if he answer..Yes, we will immediately remove it.. it may convince me that they have balls to do it |

Gov't should be vigilant all the time hopefully China won't use this opportunity in Zambo to sneak and built vertical structures there. |

Right now our govt must do is to address the country's problem according to its need. First get rid of its corruption on the rank and file. Divert PDAF to progressive project that will enhance Philippines economy as well as defense. When Philippines become strong , only then we can face our enemy. Gazmin is a chinese patsy just like his half fil/chinese boss. Sec Del Rosario is right how can you face china in court, when they do not want to go international court . One must have courage to strike his heart to kill a dragon, not by taming |

One must have the courage to strike his heart? Whose heart must be striken to kill a dragon? Shouldn't you have instead stated that "You have to strike a dragon's heart to kill it rather than try to tame it"??? That's your opinion of course. But it wouldn't count much unless you back it up with facts and links. So for now, it just qualifies as bitch'n and moanin'. - A rant (and a rather poorly written one at best). Curious.... Why the Fil/Chinese tag? It would also be better if you read more on the topics regarding your case against China which has been brought up to the UNCLOS/ITLOS. Perhaps then you would know that China doesn't need to show up in court for a ruling to be made. Welcome to the forums. Read more, put the facts into perspective, and post less would be an excellent way to start here. Edited by Hong Nam, Sep 14 2013, 09:15 PM.

Stay out of sea disputes, China warns US September 16, 2013 BEIJING - Beijing has warned the United States not to support China's neighbors' claims to disputed islands in the East and South China Seas, the government said Friday. Sino-Japanese ties have soured dramatically since Tokyo nationalized some of the Senkaku islands, which Beijing claims and calls the Diaoyus, in the East China Sea a year ago. China also claims almost all of the South China Sea including waters close to its neighbors' coasts, and tensions with the Philippines and Vietnam have intensified in recent years. Washington has security alliances with both Tokyo and Manila, but Wang Guanzhong, a senior officer of China’s People's Liberation Army (PLA), this week warned visiting US counterparts that it should handle issues "appropriately" to avoid damaging "mutual strategic trust." "These issues should not become a problem between China and the United States, and China hopes that the United States does not become a third party in these issues," Wang told US Undersecretary of Defense James Miller, the defense ministry in Beijing said in a statement on its website. their just drop dead scared since subic naval base would host the usaf again(this time with no pay but use of equipment damn unlike before tsk tsk tsk bad foresight on our politician trapo) a lot of non sense people kept saying that the americans would not help us because of the economic repercussion that china could do plus china holds a lot of us debts like the boots issue- MAGARAL MUNA KAYO!- the major consumer of chinese made goods is the u.s., if china dumps it's shares(us debt) it would only hurt china more, furthermore china has a history of not even paying it's own debt(to the u.s. to be specific remember the h.k. hand over, DIDN'T YOU EVEN ASKED WHY IT WAS HANDED OVER because u.k. made a deal with china to pay it's debt to the u.k. and chinese assets in their country would not be frozen) we do not need to play catch up, we only need to have a credible defense(not minimum) to hurt china, remember the vietnam-chink war remember china has fewer ships than the u.s. fleet and china has more domestic issues than the u.s.(do not include us since we have tonnes of domestic issues also) if tha pla navy fell which the chinks used a hefty some of money to modernize those internal conflicts between the overpopulated han chink over the thousand minorities would explode imagine they are still on the negotiations with russia regarding the su35 their ships is armed with ciws which the french navy didn't even bother to use since it lost to a competitor |

So it will be a game of chicken. I bet the the US will blink in Scarborough Shoals unless...maybe the Phils. is attacked and that is subject to interpretation. |

they already did blink the question is will they come to our aide once we removed those concrete structures for which sure china will attack us... my opinion YES, cause if not then their fleet would have limited access to the whole WEST PHILIPPINE SEA and they would be viewed by other partners as a non committing paper ally remember it was not only us that are being constantly harassed by the chicoms, us navy ships has been harassed numerous times... they already have an idea what the chicoms would do, the us forces in the pacific and its assets is not stationed there for purposes of being an eye candy this would not be a land war hence the u.s. would come to our aide BUT WE STILL NEED TO MODERNIZE Edited by shoot_to_kill, Sep 17 2013, 01:23 PM.
