If only the airforce have a better dedicated AH, we may not be mourning those high percentage casualties in the government side.

Were those ambushed troops riding in a military trucks again?

Because better training, body armor and gudgets would help too with better transportation system instead of using a lot of land based vehicles to reinforced the troops. Air insertion is still effective specially that the enemies do not have any heavy anti-air weapons.

How about superior artillery and mortar barrage?
As per report, artillery shells were also fired causing the bandits to take cover and scatter... 2 attack helis and 2 hueys were also deployed to support the troops...
this is the reason why the need to have the augmentation using MD5xx platform in the forward bases.

the arrival of the FLIR equipped and heavily armed primary AH will then sweep the floor.

Cabangbang said that at 3 p.m. Thursday, reinforcing Army ranger forces encountered the same group where the military suffered two fatalities with 10 more injured.

However, he said the rebels also suffered nine fatalities with eight injured bandits.

Among those killed were the sub-leader of the group identified as Ustadz Hassan Asnawi, his son Jumaidi; Nurham Asnawi, Juhair Aliman, Kaobut Mastul; Hudjata Marain; Meloy Patpi; a certain Balong and one unidentified follower.

Cabangbang said that among the wounded bandits were Wakil, Jarad Marain, and Jaz Umangkat.

not enough to see Wakil just getting injured.

he must be neutralized to send the message to his followers.

Scout Ranger snipers at first sight must shoot Wakil.

losing him will severely disorient his team.

no one should be allowed to escape.

RIP to the fallen brave souls.

:salute:

so many killed, considering these were SRs.

the ratio compared to ASG casualty is even bad.

tsk tsk tsk

no matter how they tell whatever alibi they can think of. it's a blunder.

WE HAVE BEEN SUGGESTING THE DEDICATED ATTACK CHOPPERS YEARS AGO SINCE EVEN THE BEST OF THE ELITES CAN GET MASSACRED BADLY.

how much is the cost of losing well trained soldiers?

how about the effects on the bereaved families?

how about the collateral damage?

how about the damage to the local economy?

are these still cheaper than the needed military equipments?
