No blood relations whatsoever. She got her Magsaysay name because she married a Magsaysay. Her husband is the one related to the Magsaysay clan. Hontiveros-Baraquel was an activist but she's also the widow of a PMAer, Col. Frank Baraquel and I heard she's active in assisting police & military dependents.
