TO REMOVE COMPULSIVE OR RECURRING NEGATIVE THOUGHTS

Everyone, to one degree or another, displays a form of obsessive behavior. Obsessive behavior can be quite distressing as it impels us to perform repetitive rituals that interfere with daily living.
Some of us:

Dress ourselves in a specific order. . .
Walk a certain way . . .
Drive a particular route . . .
Continually clean and tidy our homes . . .
Check locks, lights, and switches . . .
Count things in a distinctive way . . .

We believe that this ritualistic behavior will prevent some catastrophic event from taking place.

Obsessive behavior begins with compulsive thoughts. These intrusive thoughts torment our consciousness until we either perform the ritual or become ridden with anxiety. These recurring, unwanted thoughts can include constant doubt, uncertainty, incessant worrying, dread, and excessive fear. According to medical science, the neurotransmitter serotonin appears to play a key role in this disorder. However, Kabbalah asks, Why is serotonin causing a problem in the first place? All physical ailments have a spiritual cause, and we must travel to the root level in order to effect genuine change.

These spiritual forces help switch off destructive and oppressive thoughts by attacking the problem at the seed level—the soul arid consciousness of the individual. By helping us shut down our negative mental processes, the spiritual forces free our minds of these obsessive thoughts arid automatically curb negative behavior.
