"What is the meaning of life?"
I am not an expert on Kabbalah or it's teachings,
so most of the work here is from other sources.

The Zohar - This is the ancient and sacred text containing all the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Why are we here?
So where do I start, well I suppose we all ask the same questions in life. "Is there a God?" "Is there life after death?" and last but not least, "What is the point of being here, what is the real meaning of life?"

Before I get into all this, just think about life and it's uncertainties. Do we know where we are going? Everything in life seems so uncertain, so why do we carry on living it, if all we get is uncertainty? In fact, the only true certainty in life, is Death. To me, life is just a long process of learning and understanding. That's it. Well it is, isn't it? So lets now look at a brief history of Kabbalah to try and understand what it's really all about.

The first written work on Kabbalah, called "The Book of Formation", was authored by Abraham the Patriarch more than 4,000 years ago. "The Book of Formation" is said to contain all the mysteries of the universe, yet it is only a few pages long. So how can that be?

Of course, a great deal can be shown in a concise way, just as Einstein proved with his famous formula, E=MC2. Within these five characters are mathematical insights that help define and explain the mysteries of time, space, energy and matter.

"The Book of Formation" is another such formula. Just as Einstein's formula required extensive mathematical knowledge, only those who were adept in the mystical arts of Kabbalah were able to penetrate the secrets within this holy book.

This ancient Kabbalist treatise influenced most of the world's great religions. It is cited both in the Book of Mormon and the Koran as the Book of Abraham. What's more, portions of Abraham's Kabbalistic wisdom were given by the Patriarch to some of his children who were then sent to the East to develop the spiritual paths that we know of today, such as Zen Buddhism and Hinduism.

The complete body of Kabbalistic wisdom, however, was handed down many generations later to the greatest prophet the world had ever seen.

Moses: 1446 BC.
