The server is RP based. No Tech Nerf.

1. Judges
Server and forum admin/moderators.
Like their namesake, JUDGES each enforce rules at their discretion but will not go overboard in their rulings. They have final say. You can contest any decisions in the Cursed Earth Senate.

Attacking a Judge on the server will grant you a fine. Any further interaction from there will be the judges discretion. kick, Death, Fine, ship impoundment, imprisonment, who knows?. Harassing a JUDGE from an alternate character for any prior rulings may result in a kick or temp ban.

Respect the JUDGES, As long as you're not a Richard Noggin to us and follow our reasonable requests/demands/enforcement of rules, we should all get along.

We try not to kick or ban, so dont give us a reason.

We will answer any questions you may have and help you out to the best of our ability/knowledge.

JUDGEs are
CHIEF JUDGE DREDD - server owner
JUDGE ZaG - Head Admin
JUDGE TOLJE - Forum Master, Admin
JUDGE Alpha-Omega - Crowd Control

2. NO:
Begging for money, Mods other than Disco 4.86, swearing - just in case there be minors (damn hell A$$ are ok), racial slurs, vulgarities, hate speech, inappropriate names (do your best to keep it freelancerish), spamming in any chat, harassing, flaming, greifing, f1 during combat, leetspeaking, cloning/start money cheats, exploit/cheats, dock killing, impersonating admin(JUDGEs), divebombing/bumping judges

3. PVP:
RP:
It is rude to kill floaters (Afk'rs). Weve all been there (unplanned - extended afk). If you're a constant Floater you may be excluded from this rule.

Engaging must be preceded by some kind of RP dialogue, one may use the CD a few times to impede flight and not be considered attacking but constant uses of it becomes a hostile act and subject to defensive actions.

Fleeing an RP encounter without return dialogue is legitimate grounds to be fired upon.

Aggressors are not allowed to destroy a trade vessel prior to issuing a demand, in system or local chat, and allowing sufficient time to respond. Demands may be cargo, credits or an RP demand, such as leaving the system. "Halt" is not a demand. You must say more than this to ask a ship to stop however you may destroy them if they attempt escape.

An Attack is defined as any assault that drops your shield to 50%.

Once the engagement has finished, the two are not allowed to reengage; if they have to be in the same system they must ignore each other (for half an hour) otherwise the victor may stay while the loser must continue on to another Zone/Sphere of influence.
---The loser may not change characters or if multiboxing, attack the winner outside of logical RP (we once had an aggressor lose to his prey, then switch to a completely unrelated character and go outside of his ZoI to go after the winner)

NON RP: When both parties consent the rules to the engagement are usually 2k distance and only engaging when both have agreed to Go.
Other rules apply to the two engaging. Be specific: if you dont want missiles and batteries/bots, state so.

4. Player Organizations: Factions, Guilds, Clans(etc)
Must have three distinct registered members (real humans) to form.(will be verified) Subsequently all members must be registered, alts do not need be registered but are not part of the member count.

When creating any kind of organization please make sure there isnt already an ingame faction fulfilling the same goal/role as your idea. We dont really need 4 different police/house military/criminal organizations that already do the same thing, all in the same system. just suck it up and join or start up an existing ingame faction or make it a Wing of the same faction, but not another faction doing the same thing essentially.

All members must be Tagged and tagged the same (keep it uniform).

You may not dock at your enemies base.

Must be active to maintain status. Inactivity begins at 2 weeks from last log in.
(will be verified)

Zone or Sphere of Influence is usually up to 10k from base; a region of the system or often the entire system depending on organization.(Some will be contested and then its the victor who rules)

Freelancer/Discovery organizations have priority unless none exist. (use in game ZoI)

Freelancer/Discovery Offshoot/wings get secondary. (player created, adheres to similar ZoI as ingame)

Clans/guild have third and usually only maintain 10k from base/planet

It is the duty of the respective Organization to police its territories and enforce its rules/taxes.

Fleet Build up:(IT is the Leaders discretion which ships to add to their fleet when unlocked)
3 members = organization
4 members = 1 cap - gunboat/gunship
6 members = 2 cap - unlock Cruisers (including destroyers and battle cruisers) (gunboat/cruiser OR destroyer)
8 members = 3 cap - unlock battleships (including dreadnoughts and juggernauts) (gunboat/cruiser OR destroyer/dreadnoughts OR juggernauts)
10 members = 4 cap - add any cap ship within your fleet allowance

So 10 members equal a total of 4 capital class ships for your fleet
(gunboat/cruiser OR destroyer/dreadnoughts OR juggernauts/whatever)

12 = 5 - add any cap ship within your fleet allowance
14 = 6 - add any cap ship within your fleet allowance
16 = 7 - add any cap ship within your fleet allowance
18 = 8 - add any cap ship within your fleet allowance
20 = 9 - add any cap ship within your fleet allowance

By now you have 20 members and 9 cap ships with 10 ships being your fighters/traders/bombers
21 + if you can afford it, open game.

Should a person piloting the ship leave the organization for whatever reason, they are not allowed to take the ship with them - Admin enforced*

If your personal RP states you are in an organization and piloting some capitol class ship, you MUST wait until its unlocked via active member count before you can purchase and fly it.

"CLAN HOPPING": This is the act of joining various differing factions, often ones at direct odds with each other. This is Heavily frowned upon but not against server rules. Each organization may have its own guidelines concerning this. We will support the Organizations wishes to forcibly remove you from the group if you do not comply, this goes for server as well as forums.

5. IDs
Every player must have an ID equipped on his or her ship. (It's also your tractor beam!)

Carrying multiple different types of IDs in a player ship is prohibited.

Follow the rules of the ID, if there are conflicts please plead your case/point in the Cursed Earth Senate (Clans forum)

6. Ships:
For purposes of the server rules, the following ship classes are defined:
a) All light fighters, heavy fighters, very heavy fighters, super heavy fighters, and bombers are considered fighters;
b) Trader ships with cargo hold less than 650 units are considered freighters;
c) Trader ships with cargo hold more than 650 units are considered transports; Liners and yachts are transports.
e) Gunboats, cruisers (including destroyers and battle cruisers), battleships (including dreadnoughts and juggernauts) are considered capital ships.

Freelancer/Disco organizations - player made as well as ingame - must follow ship restrictions (RP leeway, player created organizations must submit a fleet list for approval)

Clans and Guilds may get more variety of ships they may fly in regards to their RP (EX: Merc clan member from kusari fly kusari ship, merc from rhineland may fly valkyrie etc) but may have a small fleet overall (maybe no caps due to RP). Each organization should designate a standard fleet though (light fighter, hv, vhf, trader) and depending on RP they may get capitol ships.
(RP leeway, player created organizations must submit a fleet list for approval)

**Only Active, server approved Organizations can use cap ships. Just because you can afford it, or have a super nifty RP will not allow you to have it. Join an Organization if you want to fly a capitol ship.

7. Forums.
The spoken and written language is English, maybe even a bastardized version of it, but its English.

Same conduct on forum as you would server (most of the NO section applies, for the rest use common sense)

No linking to other freelancer servers unless its Disco Wiki.

Follow the guidelines for each subforum, respect each other.

No spamming the shoutbox, no spamming the forum in general.
