I don't believe forum activity is our problem atm, I see the main focus should go towards our in game organisation seeing as it dropped tremendously since a few changes happened. And the word Pathos, I'm not feeling it. |

Even if forum activity isnt our problem, i think we need some kind of boost or a new fresh start. why not move? We might have some posts and stuff here but i think making new forums will set apart the actives from the inactive and maybe promote the public to come to our forums |

Why make a "fresh" start when it's not needed. Instead of starting over I would rather build on the foundation and fix the problems we have at this point in time which is organisational problems. Also why would you want to make such a big move at a time like this, makes no sense. We have already been through enough hassle in the past couple of months. We hopped IRC for no reason, we had officiating problems, we lost tons of great members, we have tons of problems. Why would you want to make such a gigantic move when your only thinking of positives. I can think of really negative consequences from moving forums. I think we should just wait and see what Saturday brings us. If you want forum activity, then officials have to get people on forums. I really havn't seen anyone stress the pk trip this weekend except Rage doing it one time because I mentioned it. Majority of the people on the sign up list I told them to sign up or they signed up on themselves. Officiating is also the problem why we don't have forum activity, because no one is stressing it. |

nah its the fact we dont have much people on as anymore, and ive seen others advertise the trip. And its not really that big of a fresh start, i mean its only moving forums, but small things can change the atmosphere of the clan and whatnot. |

Ok so you have a plan on what your going to do if only 20-30 people actually transfers to the new forums? You also have to look at the possible negative outcomes of things. Right now, we can't afford to be reduced in numbers for the simple fact we are actually getting a decent amount of applications. This isn't a close clan, we are separated by different opinions and beliefs and it's amazing we're even a clan right now. If only 20-30 people actually does come to new forums, what are we going to do with those 30 people? Nothing, we won't be pulling any opts or anything. The semi active people who go on forums once a week won't know what's happening and probably don't want to hassle to go to a new forum. There's no point in looking for who the inactives yet, instead we should be looking for the actives. The inactive people will come along and show up when they are most needed or maybe they won't. Changing forums shouldn't be in our mind at the moment because when forums are hopped, the clan loses members. Why do we want to lose members when we have momentum coming into this Saturday and into the next week if Saturday goes well. Right now isn't a time to take risks and doing illogical things. Right now we just need to focus on grasping ahold of those opportunities that keep passing us. Also if officials were advertising trip often, we would definietly have more sign ups right now seeing as I am responsible for 24 of the replies to the pk trip topic. Most likely the main reason our forums are inactive because we don't have enough publicity and we don't have people making new interesting topics for everyone to reply too or talk about. |

The new forums with new ideas like arcades and points are a good way to boost activeness on forums. When I was in FL, we had the same thing, arcades, and points and stuff like that. Btw, Pathos doesnt sound cool, but the meaning kicks ass  |

You seem to think that I want this change immediately, I just want the officials to start notifying people earlier about it and getting people familiar with it. My plan wasnt to shut down these forums one day all the sudden and then have people into the new forums. I was actually planning to continually expose the site for awhile to more people and get people to know it. So that way, we wont only have 20-30 people as you hypothesize. In fact, we already have about 12 people on our new forums and im pretty sure they are really satisfied with the site even when its not even half finished. And you sound as if Im planning to switch the site today, claiming that our momentum will be ruined. Ive said before, this is a gradual step I wish to propose. This isnt a risk if we implement it slowly, im asking for a month- two month people to get people slowly to know about the site and registering accounts and whatnot. |
