$ CA CHING $ Posts: 2,814 Group: Old School Member Member #302 Joined: May 13, 2006	Seeing as we have three newly promoted officials, I believe there needs to be a wrap up post to solve any confusion. This post will apply to all officials new and previous ones. Forums Your job for forums is to keep the forums clean. You are suppose to moderate the forums by keeping cursing under control, remove all insults towards other clan members, and take off any other inappropiate things off forums. I also believe we moderators and other officials should stress forum activity seeing as many important post are made on forums such as events, plans, ideas, and what is happening to the clan. I believe forum activity can make us better and can form a stronger bind between the Corrupt Pures' members. So I will suggest that officials keep forum activity up and stress it. IRC 1) Our specific duty in IRC is to prevent spamming, insulting towards other clan members, and other inappropiate things. I also believe we should stop cursing to form a more respectable environment in IRC. 2) When you get involved in a debate, make sure you understand where the other member is coming from. Do not be so blind. Also try not to use the kick-ban mechanism as much seeing as it only ignites more controversy. Instead of kbing everyone on sight that you don't like, try to have an engaging conversation with the member or just simply ignore the person. We can't afford to lose members due to officials kbing people when kbing isn't necessary. You were giving a privlege of being able to kb, so don't abuse it. In Game This is where you guys work your magic. You guys get people notified for events. During an event you keep order during the event to make the person who is leading have an easier job. An organised trip is a successful trip so try to help keep things organised. Also try to prevent from bsing a member even if he is a friend. There's been many cases where an official will bs someone's friend that is planning on joining CP or just wants to be friendly with us until he gets bsed for no apparent reason. We represent the clan, so when you bs someone, you are making not only your self look idiotic, but the clan look idiotic. So be aware of situations and try to prevent as many mistakes as possible. Respect Respect will eventually come. When you are active, nice, and do a lot of things for the clan, you gain respect. Members tend to appreciate you more. When you are inacctive and just cause controveries, all you do is make people not respect you which no one will ever listen to you. To have power you need to have people's trust. When you have their trust, they will listen to you and believe in your abilities. Kbing people for no reason or every chance you get won't earn you respect. Trying to strike fear into people over this game so you can run the clan as a dictator won't create respect either. It will just cause people talking about you, leaving the clan because of you, and hating your guts. You have to be nice to people and understanding. Leading an event Leading is fairly simple. The main skills you use while leading an event is awareness, decision making, and organisation. Awareness sometimes doesn't come naturaly but you need it. You have to know what is happening around you to keep your clan members alive and happy. You have to know what's going on, when it's going on and why it's going on. Being aware also prevents the clan from being lured and falling into a deadly trap which can lead to our demise. Decision making is just thought power. Decision making consist of choosing the right spots to hop at so you won't be attacked while logging in, choosing when to fight someone, choosing when to lure someone, and just making the right decisions. Organisation consist of having organised death march, like don't tell the clan to pot up then right when people pot take off leaving people lagging behind. Try not to zig zag all over the place. Try to stay on high ground so you can see the more of the wilderness and just be organised. Know When To Joke Around Sometimes people arn't in a joking mood and are rather serious because of problems or issues that may have happened to them. Be sypmathetic with them and show them that you care. Don't turn into a M4g3r Ownage (one of the worst officials ever) and joke around constantly. Becuase when you joke around constantly in an excessive manner, people will never take you serious even when you are being serious. Try not to offend the clan members and be reasonable with them. Try to make this a good, fun, and clean environment for everyone. In Conclusion Just try to cause less controversies between yourself and the clan. Your job is to prevent controversies not cause them. You guys are the leaders' right hand men. You help this clan be organised, friendly, and fun. We have to work together to make this clan function. If you have an idea, tell someone about it and let people know about it. Try to keep a strong mindset towards things and please try to use proper grammar. Officials are suppose to be looked up as the smart people of the clan. Try to reframe from using pointless slang and trying to act cool since no one really cares. We are suppose to be sophisticated. Also, show respect to other members, all because your an official doesn't mean your better then anyone else. It just means your are trusted with the responsibility to fullfill your duties to the clan and help the clan out. Be smart, be positive, be fun,

Think Before You attack me Posts: 1,786 Group: Old School Member Member #274 Joined: May 13, 2006	i would like to start off by saying gratz to pur, mighty and vn. your ranks are very well deserved ones. and for wil and rage. i think you should give other officals a chance at leading events. so far its only sir and rage leading pk trips. let us have a go at it?

I think I have experiences in all of those main points that an official is supposed to do. I think I am doing my job in all of them except for the leading part. I consider myself a good leader on events and pk trips, BUT I have a really really shittie computer, so when the adverts change, I can not eat, and it freezes for a minute or 2, and that is deadly if we are charging. IF I get a new computer, I'll try leading events for CP to get used to the experience. I have lead groups of 20 people in w61, but never led a clan before.
