The Future of Pokemon; Where are they going with it?

I have been wondering what Nintendo plans to do with Pokemon. They are currently working on (or are they...) HeartGold and SoulSilver, the remakes of Gold and Silver. Then what are they going to do? Make a Generation V and a remake of Ruby and Sapphire? What could they improve upon to make the future games better? Will they make games like XD on the Wii (Would we need to throw the Pokeball? (that would get boring))?
I would love to play a remake of Ruby. A new map would also be fun, but new Pokemon would make it hard for new players to remember them all (about 700 names to remember would be hard for someone to learn all at once)

I think that Nintendo should continue to make a new Generation, but not make may/any new Pokemon. They will then continue to make remakes of other Gernerations two Generations later. Generation V's third game (examples: Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum) would be for the Wii (or Nintendo's current console) along with the Ruby and Sapphire re-makes. They would be able to connect to the DS/DSi, and give a chance for people without one to play a Pokemon game.

Though it has been a tradition, I think they should start adding less Pokémon. I'm not too worried about it dying out actually though--Mario's lasted a lot longer and is still strong.

Don't you guys see??? :o Project Giga is the future of Pokemon (hopefully). Pokemon will survive as long as there is a need for new games and such. It's the same thing with other games. People enjoy the games like Sonic, Mario, Kirby, Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, Soul Caliber, Street Fighter, Call of Duty, etc. That is why Nintendo and Sony and Microsoft created followups to those game titles: so people who enjoyed the first couple of games can play more of them. Even the games that there weren't alot of (Tales of Symphonia, Super Smash Bros., Etc.) had sequels made because they were such a hit, so that people could buy them and play them (and the game companies can make more money...). Chances are that Pokemon will also survive as long as there are enough ideas for new games. That is where Project Giga will come in and help give Game Freak and Nintendo a boost (hopefully)(I am not just using this discussion to promote Proj. Giga. Well, maybe a little. ^_^ But I posted this mostly to boost morale. :D ).

It could easily fit into my prediction (it being gen. V) but there are also a lot of other directions that could be taken.

Yes, but we need to get there before someone else steals our ideas. I doubt that Nintendo will come up with half of our ideas.

Send a letter in the mail to yourself saying that you copyright so and so and put your name, and you cannot open it.

The more formal text is on the internet somewhere.

But...

THEY WILL CREATE A TEAM SOMETHING OR OTHER GAME.

Now that I think about it, it might be a bit to late to give a full idea before Nintendo starts on gen. v., for all we know they could have already.

I agree. Project Giga will take a long time to complete now that Tombstoner and I no longer see each other every day.

Sorry about the double post, But I wanted to post some information about the next Mystery Dungeon games.
They are for the Wii, to be relesed via WiiWare (Wii Shop Channel) and there are three of them. Blazing Adventure Squad, Stormy Adventure Squad and Light Adventure Squad. Blazing is about Fire types, Stormy is about Water types and Light is about Electric types. I learned about them from Serebii.net.
