How about something about double posting and old topics, just unless the post is significant?

What about having rules on old topics and double posting, unless the post is significant?

Does the 'no posting in a discussion that is more than 4 months old' rule include Project Giga? And if it does, how do I pin the discussions?

For your forum, there should be a little 'Moderation' scroll box thing under Users Reading This Topic.

I think that for rule #1, pointless discussions should also be considered as spam. That means discussions that no one understands what they are about, and that does not mean discussions that no one has posted in.

Well if there is a discussion then the people discussing it would have to understand what it is, right? Do you have an example?

Brocco Guy posted a discussion in the exclusive trash can and in the exclusive discussion labled Test and for his first post, he wrote 'Test' or something like that. I'm using this as an example, but I understand now that he was testing out the exclusive trash can, but I don't understand what the test in the exclusive discussion was about...

I have a question about Rule 4. Say there is a really active topic that just turned 4 months old, does that mean that the topic is closed down, and no one can post there with out good reason?

If it is still active that would mean that there would be posts newer than 4 months old. It doesn't matter when the topic is started.
