Just thought I would say I haven't forgotten about the forum...I just haven't been here in forever. I just got my internet back, because I moved out of my moms house, well, actually I got kicked out, but thats a whole 'nother story. She went all psycho on me when she found out about my girlfriend, so now Im here...but I see that im not the only one who hasn't been around. Anyway, hi.

well, we were happy, and we still are, but in a friendly way, because the distance is a bit much for us. I had to move pretty far away. But yeah, Im happy, especially about the internet part.

Flyergirl, I hope everything works out for the best. R u living on your own or with your dad now??? You're so young...but I know you'll be fine because you're strong enough to be who you are without having to hide anything. Hopefully your mom will wise up too and realize what a great person you are. I still don't get why parents are so freakin' homophobic!! Is your mom some kinda hard-core christian or something? Anyhow, good for you! things can only get better from here! Always, SaraHa |

Im living with my dad now, I thought about the whole emancipation thing and living on my own, I had all the tools necessary to do it, but I just didn't want to do that. I still love my mom, and I think someday she will come around, but it will be a while. I am 16 and I have one more year of highschool left, and I really need parental support if I am going to get into college, and my dad is cool about it, not great, but manageable. And surprisingly enough, my moms not religious at all, just very set in her ways, but you know, I expected it, I wasn't really prepared to get kicked out of my house, but...its ok, because Im much better off here then I was there. It took some adjusting, but, I have more support now.

CHallee, First of all...what a pretty name. And all this time we were calling you Flyergirl. I'm sorry to hear about your recent mom related issues. That sucks. I'm glad that you are doing alrigh at your dad's though. How far away did you have to move? Are you still able to go to the same HIgh School? Goodluck and congradulations on being a strong woman. Many people really melt in those typoe of situations, but you sound like you are moving along, not necessarily at your best, but it's still moving and being strong. You can get through this, and know that if you need to vent, or chat to any of us on the board, I'm sure that I'm not speaking just for myself here, we will do what we can to talk you through the situation at hand. :-) Good luck and big hugs! thanks again for all your support, Im doing pretty good. It seems like a really tramatic event from the outside, but... as far as my mom and my relationship goes...we might as well have been living in different demensions my whole life. The only thing that hurts about this is Im leaving the rest of my family...my twin sister my brother my friends my girlfriend....that stuff sucks, but it will be ok. And eventually my mom will come to terms, but it will be on her own time, because as far as Im concerned, homophobia is her problem not mine. We are beyond her thinking Im still straight, shes trying to force me back into the closet, and Im not going back. But like I said before, Im happy, my sister in moving in with me and my dad over the summer and brother is going off to college, so you know...things are progressivly getting better. My mom and I dont really talk, but eventually we will, I known that damn woman long enough to know she will swallow her pride at some point and call me. Untill then...Im enjoying the silence after 16 and a half years of yelling. And atleast I can be myself now...without worrying about my mothers threats. -Challee (oh...and thanks about the name compliment )

hey challee we missed you...im so sorry to hear about this situation with your mom. some people just cant accept things that arent the normal thing for them. sometimes theyre scared about how itll make them look. but dont stop being yourself just because of them because being happy is all that matters and if having a girlfriend does that, then do it. i hope living with your dad is working out and i wish you the best of luck in handling this situation with your family.
