Procrastinating for my 19th century poetry paper, I decided to check out Clea's name on imdb.com. She has a movie listed that's currently in production called "Two Weeks". There was no synopsis, only mentioned it was categorized as a comedy/drama. YAY! New Clea stuff! Any 1 else heard of this flick?? SaraHa P.S. procrastination pays people... |

This was the first I'd heard of it, but I checked out IMDB too, and it also has Sally Field and Tom Cavanagh from Ed. Romantic comedy is something different though. And it will be good to see Clea in something new (that wont scare the pants off me) I look forward to it

something about the Movie Two Weeks Ok, not much...but gives you an idea who's working it. Transcendent produces high quality, low budget independent features. “No Regrets”, Transcendent's first film, recently had its world television premiere on Lifetime Television. Now Transcendent is co-producing "Two Weeks" with L. A.-based writer-director Steve Stockman. Drawing on the resources of parent company Film House, Tennessee 's largest production company, Transcendent's goal is to produce the kind of inspiring, uplifting films that are often seen as too small for Hollywood; meaningful stories that speak to the viewer's heart. Transcendent both develops its own properties and partners with other producers by providing crew, equipment and facilities. Completed in 2004, "No Regrets" is "A Love Story with Two Happy Endings". "No Regrets" was written and directed by Curt Hahn and stars Janine Turner (Northern Exposure), Kate Jackson (Charlie's Angels), Brad Johnson (Always), Edward Albert (Butterflies Are Free), Lari White (Cast Away) and Jennifer Hetrick (LA Law). The domestic TV and DVD/home video rights to "No Regrets" were snapped up by Lifetime Television, which gave the film its world television premiere December 27, 2004. MarVista Entertainment handles international distribution. Transcendent is co-producing “Two Weeks” starring Sally Field and Ben Chaplin with Los Angeles-based Two Weeks LLC, headed by writer-director Steve Stockman. Sally Field is the winner of two Academy Awards for Best Actress (for “Norma Rae” and “Places in the Heart”) and has created some of the screen's most memorable women in such classic movies as “Steel Magnolias”, “Mrs. Doubtfire” and “Forrest Gump”. “Two Weeks” marks her first appearance in an independent feature film. Co-starring with Field is Ben Chaplin (“The Truth about Cats & Dogs”, “The Thin Red Line”, “Murder by Numbers”). “Two Weeks” also stars Tom Cavanagh (TV's “Ed”), Julianne Nicholson (“Kinsey”), Glenn Howerton (“E.R.”) and Clea Duvall (“The Grudge”). The film, an emotionally wrenching comedy, was shot entirely in Nashville in early 2005. “We're thrilled to be working with Steve, helping him realize his vision for ‘Two Weeks'”, said Transcendent founder and Film House CEO Curt Hahn . “Our goal is to grow the local film industry, and bringing a star of Sally Field's caliber and a great project like ‘Two Weeks' here from Los Angeles is a powerful way to do that.” ================================================== More on Two Weeks....with some pictures Film crew behind Sally Field movie sees more bright lights By KEN BECK Staff Writer A few blocks off of West End Avenue, two schoolgirls kick a soccer ball back and forth on a sidewalk, while a boy rides past on his bicycle. Just another Saturday morning in the neighborhood? Not exactly. The kids are extras in Two Weeks, a movie starring Sally Field, Ben Chaplin (The Truth About Cats & Dogs), Tom Cavanagh (star of TV's Ed), Julianne Nicholson (Kinsey), Glenn Howerton (ER) and Clea Duvall (Carnivale). The film is being shot entirely in Nashville. ''When you get Sally Field, people are just wanting to work with her,'' Curt Hahn, who founded Nashville film company Transcendent, said yesterday. He is an executive producer on the project, a bittersweet comedy. Producer John Masias said they scouted locations in Vancouver, Los Angeles and Wilmington, N.C., but Nashville won out for two reasons. ''One, the town has a look. It's picturesque, the locations are here and the cooperation is here. Second, Curt has a group of technicians here that came as a package,'' Masias said. ''This is also a film-friendly environment. There have been shifting film centers over the years in places like Atlanta, Dallas and Miami. I think the next one is gonna be Nashville. It's just ready to pop.'' Behind the cameras, about 60 crew members are handling the chores, and about 90% of them are local professionals. ''This is like a floating factory,'' said David Bennett, executive director of the Tennessee Film, Entertainment and Music Commission. ''This is indicative of independent movies which are sprouting in Nashville and across the state. Two Weeks is gonna mean several million dollars injected into the economy of Nashville.'' Field, who won two Academy Awards for best actress (for Norma Rae and Places in the Heart) and also starred in such films as Steel Magnolias, Smoky and the Bandit, and Forrest Gump, is making her first independent feature film, playing a woman dying of cancer. Director-writer Steve Stockman describes the plot. ''The story is about four adult siblings who come home to their mother's house in North Carolina believing she only has four more days to live. She ends up living a lot longer. They end up stuck together for two weeks, hence the title.'' ''It's a human comedy. About the truth of what happens when you deal with this at home. A lot is very funny and a lot is very sad,'' Stockman said. ''Everyone here working on the movie, from crew to cast, the story is important to them. It meant something to them. It touched a nerve. The crew here is top-notch, the best in Nashville,'' he added. Two Weeks will film for about three more weeks. |
