SLIGHT SPOILER ALERT******************************* I watched this movie over the weekend and I thought I would share with whoever reads this thing. It is a wonderful movie with a wonderful cast. Ladies In Lavender Is a film about two elderly sisters who live in a house in a remote seaside town in Cornwall during the 1930's. They lives are altered with the arrival of a stranger whom they find washed up on the beach after a storm. It transpiers that this stranger is Polish, they take him in and nurse him to health but learn alot about him and themselves as time moves on. The two sisters are played by Judi Dench(Who is one of my favorite actresses, she is very good in this movie.) Her sister is played by Maggie Smith, I thought her performance was amazing. Also in this movie is an actress called Miriam margolyes who has appeared in many a fine tv show and film. She adds a sort of wit to the film as the sisters housekeeper. Daniel Bruhl stars as the Polish stranger Andrea who has a certain charm about him. listen to the wonderful music in this film, esp the violin played by Joshua Bell. I really thought him a marvel. So all in all, if you like a moving story and a british movie I highly recommend watching ladies In lavender. |

I thought the acting outshone the story line. But really, Judi Dench could be in a cat food commercial, and I would clap. |
| For me though, it's like I've given birth to my own baby girl. You know? Only she's, like, a big giant girl who smokes and says "shit" a lot. | |
