I chose the doghouse for no other reason that I have no idea! :-)
This issue of continaity is so true. The movie, thought PHENOMINAL, is really lacking it.

I was going to curse the DP  It was ok, but god some of the shots are truly bad from a lighting and continuity POV

I must agree the continuity part is crap but there is a lot of that throughout the film.

We are all hard markers eh? Okay, so here's a thought. Would you hate this movie is Graham was played by somebody else and Clea had nothing to do with this film? Would you have even bothered seeing it?

i think i still would have seen it. i probably wouldn't love it as much as i do if clea wasn't in it, but i think i still would have at least seen it.

Same here... I didn't know of Clea until watching this film... although I saw Girl, Interrupted before BIAC but I didn't realize who Clea was until watching BIAC.... As for liking it if Clea wasn't in it? It would depend on who was playing Graham and they could give Graham that same allure, the same charisma and attitude and such and, the biggest thing, if they could have the same sort of chemistry with Megan, which is due, undoubtedly, to the fact that they are best friends off screen. But it's not a deal where I like it so much because Clea plays a smokin' character in it. Like I said, I didn't even know Clea was in it the first time I saw it... and there are other movies that I like that I probably wouldn't like as much if a different actress played that role. Actors and actresses can make or break movies.....

Yep - I would still be a fan. I love the writing. I really want a copy of the script, but I can't find it online.

The motifs and visual jokes are also cool.

For me though, it's like I've given birth to my own baby girl. You know? Only she's, like, a big giant girl who smokes and says "shit" a lot.

I think that I would still love the movie. It was so well done and a great political satire. Clea did make Graham wonderful and I can't picture anyone else in the role...but the movie would definatley still rock.

Totally, like the more I watch it, the more I find in it.

Have you noticed in the "Boys' outdoor training area" how the cutouts of soldiers have an upward facing gun at hip level, and a boy on his knees right in front of it... and when they are running with guns, yelling "Die, faggot" they start out in the Charlie's Angel* pose...?

[size=1]*I think it's Charlie's Angels[/size]

yea i was bored one day so i watched the whole movie with the little words on the bottom to tell u what they are saying. also another thing i caught...when andre is sitting with hilary at free time and he sees the paper airplane on the ground, the really tall guy (Harry Morgangordon?) was like "ok, lets go"....and then when mike grabbed clayton and dolph cuz they were kissing, he tells them "get in there"...as in marys bedroom so he can tell her. but thats all i caught. the rest you can hear.

I dont think I would hate the film.....I first saw it on HBO like, back in 99 and I didn't even know what to think of it, I laughed by ass off, but I didn't know who Clea was then. Then I watched The Faculty in 2002 and and everything came back. So I bought BIAC on VHS and I love the movie, and eveything else Clea is in for the most part. So....I think I would still like the movie if she wasn't in it, but I cant see anyone else playing that part, she is perfect for it.

That's pretty simple ^_^
if you want to quote a whole post, just press the "Quote"-button on the top right of that post.
If you want to quote a part of another post copy'n'paste the text, and place open- and close quote tags before and after it. Open tags look like this [ quote ], close tags are the same just with a /, i.e. [ /quote ] - to get it work, there should be no spaces between the [ & ] and the tag, i.e. {quote}quoted text{/quote} (just think [ and ] instead of { and } ;) - if you're to lazy to quote manually, just press the "Quote"-button above the text box, where you post your reply (but don't forget to press it again to place the close tag!).

Clea is so unique, I think she's perfect for any part she plays/played :yes:
