We've had this discussion before but I don't think it was on this board. I'm just curious because last time we got a lot of different answers and as I was watching it last night, I was again a lil curious... Because personally, I still like to think it was the lil doghouse. I don't know why I think that but that's just what I always assumed. I think it's because of the lighting, and the way it seems so cramped. |

the dog house was mad small... i don't think that was it because they seemed to have more room. and they definately had the pink blanket and sheets... so i'm leaning towards they were on the extra bed that is used for the simulations later. |

Yeh, I think it's the 'simulation' bed. |

In that scene there is a standing up shot so it can't have been the doghouse unless Clea & Natasha are 3 ft tall. |

I haven't seen the movie for like, over a year, but for some reason i thought they were in a little tent...or something...I'll probably watch it next time and realise that it looks nothing like a tent, but i chose other, anyway. |

i have a question about all this. ok how come wen clayton and dolph did it clayton had "one week of solitary" and graham didnt? was it because they needed her for the simulation? |

That's a good point... one of the many lil things that don't add up but are there to make the story work. It is curious, though, as to why Dolph was made to leave and Clayton was just given a week of solitary.... Hmmm. Who knows? Not that this is a reason but that it's a point, if Dolph and Clayton both would have been excused, just Joel and Andre would have been left.... that's not much on the man front. LOL.
Yeah, me, too. And the reason why I don't think it was the bed was because the bed was in a room and was quite spacious. The place they are in when they are making love is very small and very cramped... you can tell they are in a very tightly enclosed space... |

Okay. It could quite easily have been the bed. All the shots were close ups - Extreme close ups. They could have been in the middle of the White House and you still couldn't be able to tell. The importance of this scene is the people - not where they were. The focus on this scene was the intimacy of the characters (which was done well by performance and by lighting (well done D.O.P!) So - I reckon it not the doghouse just because of the appearance of the cramped setting and the camera shot sizes. It's all film making tricks of light and shot sizes. The bed seems more logical. Point is - they did, got busted, Megan left - on to Act 3. |

 hahahahah!
I was going to curse the DP It was ok, but god some of the shots are truly bad from a lighting and continuity POV, I think.... unless it's just my copy, which it might be... in which case I will just shut right up.

Wait a minute! Wait a minute! You don't think they actually had the camera's filming IN the dog house do you
I must agree the continuity part is crap but there is a lot of that throughout the film. |
