That has happened to me a handful of times. I picked number 2 cause If it's something that we can talk about later, when sober, then I would totally go for it. If i really care about someone, I won't let my feelings get in the way of a friendship...unless I generally know that they would be ok. I have a friend right now who I would love to hook up with, but she doesn't talk to her ex's cause she can't handle that. SO...I will never hook up with her, even though we both generally want to, because I refuse to loose her from my life. Le Sigh...it's a sad state of affairs.

I mean, I have had a crush on my friend for a long time, but we are too close. It wouldn't work. Stokely Mitchell, The Faculty Posts: 182 Group: Members Member #70 Joined: April 19, 2004	okay...so I know this happened to me with a guy...but it's sort of the same thing. he always said to everyone that he was straight...but it was too good to be true and I was dead sure he was gay even though he adamantly denied it to all of us. he's incredibly hot...nice...funny..intelligent ...etc. He slyly propositioned me one night and I admit I reallly REALLLY wanted to, but i was sure he was gay and i didn't want to confuse him anymore OR screw up our friendship. He came out to me a year later. mamma's proud o' her boy! :lol: Anyways...it's tough when it comes to screwing around with friends..but there always is th possibility that it an make your friendship stronger. Ginny, Identity Posts: 729 Group: Members Member #50 Joined: January 10, 2004	Yea my guy friend who is a year older then me is really cute and i did the same thing as you when he approached me. cuz he asked me out and i really knew he was gay/bi cuz it was dead obvious. he's a really nice guy but i turned him down cuz i didnt want my friendship with him to end cuz he was one of my best friends and still is. he was unhappy about it but he accepted the fact that i had reason to turn him down. about 3 months later, i became the first person ever to know that he was bi. he said he could only trust me with the secret cuz he sed he knew i wouldnt tell. it was a cool thing. i know a clea fan that i talk to on a regular basis and she had major trouble coming out so she helped him and now hes great...and with a boyfriend. he's so happy. so it was probably the right thing to do in turning him down

Ok, I came out to my friends like, 6 months ago......and it was so hard for me to do 'cause I was almost in this denial stage, I was just completly freaking out, but once I did , my friend I have known since 5th grade was like, "its about time!". I mean, I had no idea it was obviouse. But I am glad to see you helped out your friend, I guess this is a sensative subject for me because my coming out of the closet experiance is so fresh in my mind still, but I think it is cool that you supported your friend.
