Recently I received an email from a member who said that they didn't like the way the ranks were set up because it seemed like you had to post a whole lot to move up a rank.

Below is the list of ranks for your review.

* TV Guest Star - 50-99
* Kelsey, Little Witches - 100-149

* Georgina Tuskin, Girl, Interrupted - 350-399
* Bashira Kincaid, Ghosts of Mars - 400-599
* Ginny, Identity - 600-799
* Sophie, Carnivale - 800-999
* Indie "It" girl- 1000+

Let me tell you Riley and my reasons for changing the ranks the way we did.

First of all, the computer only gives us twelve levels to use so we had to decide how to spread them out over 1000+ possible levels. The default levels had over half the levels beneath 200, with the majority under 100 levels. Then the higher levels were more sporadic...and once you hit 500, you were done advancing until you hit 1000. The way we figure is some of our members are already over 500 posts and there's some not that far behind and honestly, our board is still kinda a baby and is still majorly flourishing.... Since most memvers are over 100 posts already (which, granted, there will constantly be new members but the current bulk is pretty much over 100) we figured, why waste so many levels under 100? I know it seems like it takes a lot to advance but honestly, until you reach 400 posts, you are advancing every 49 posts.

So... feedback, please. Thoughts? Because if a lot of people feel the same way as the member who brought this to my attention, then by all means we will have to sit down and figure something different out.... I want everyone to be happy! It was just that I figured the way I set it up was the easiest and best solution.... but it can be changed if someone has something better.
