And already we see a veritable tidal wave of hatred...

I'm just going to sit back, crack a beer and watch the proceedings...

Thats pretty messed up. I mean, they could have just deleted it. had they have re-read the comment, they would have seen it was a ligit question from a FAN of the company.

The dude was friends with GW on Facebook, GW told people to ask any questions they might have regarding Finecast, he asked a couple questions (nicely, presumably), GW proceeded to block him and everyone else that asked questions.

EDIT: The dude in question was uberdark, of The Back 40k

It was a copy of the post he put on their FB page. He started by telling them he is a huge fan and enjoys their games. Then he politely asked about the switch to resin hybrid (which the gaming world already knows about, even if GW think no-one does and think they're tickling peoples balls by giving them little bits of teaser info) and the fact that resin would be a cheaper commodity, but why the price was increasing. Next thing he know's they've banned him.

we all know GW is bad at the Internet. I'm just going to sit on the sidelines of this one.

The hobby's still cheaper now than it was when I started playing.

Not a bad idea, I feel like the general nerd-rage will subside to it's usual low simmer after a little while anyway.

While I disagree with whats going down, we all know that in a couple of weeks everything will be business as normal. If people really wanted to make a stand, send a message and really really try and change things, they'll stop buying the product altogether. I don't see that happening any time soon.

Worked for me.

The only way I'll ever buy anything GW again is off of craigslist and or a trading site where I can name my own price. It's gotten to the point for me where its not fun spending my money on these things. Other games, yes. Gw stuff, not so much.

I have no proof, but this doesnt sit right with me either. Sure the detail has gotten 300x better, but less expensive? not buying it.

I found a price list from 1988. After adjusting for inflation, a squad of 10 marines should cost $72 today , based on the 1988 price. They only cost $35, which is, I believe, only a $15 increase over 20 years....

so yeah, the hobby is actually "relatively" cheaper- the kind of cheaper that matters.

Perhaps my eye is not as discerning as some, but I think they look fine.
