With its massive HP, it can make some hard-to-take-down subs. When your done you proceed to rape the foe with Flare Blitz/Wood Hammer/Stone Edge. You could coose to go lefties to provide the possibility of more subs or you could go with life orb to hit harder. Life Orb is not recommended because The recoild from FB and LO begin to stack up. If you choose to go Synthesis over Substitute then you have to rely on your High HP and Def to keep you alive. Although Synthesis isnt a bad alternative, you just have to be careful on what youre switching into. [B]Entei[/B]@leftovers/Wise Glasses Modest/Timid - 200 sp atk, 116 def, 194 sdef Drought Substitute/Synthesis Calm Mind Flamthrower/Fire Blast Shadow Ball/Hidden power[Dragon] Same idea as the last set Fire/Dragon provide the best coverage, its only resisted by heatran Shadow ball is there if you want more than 70 base power Ghost+Fire still provides decent coverage =/ Counters: CB Rapidash with Eq could work. If it doesn't have Eq and CB it can at least sleep it. Aggron can use abuse chlorophyll and wall entei Eh, beyond that nothing truely counters entei. Larion can also wall it. Standard Entei can't do sqat to Sableye. Shuckle might be able to use Entei as bait to set up on. Beyond that it really grays. You could mess up its weather, which greatly hampers its effectiveness. Kyogre can do that and smash it back extremely hard with STAB surf and CS can be used to outspeed. However, kyogre gets OHKOed by Woodhammer on the switch. Cresselia can attempt to wall it and then toxistall it but it might fail because entei can bulk up. i still have more sets i'd like to add to this, Captain, but i can right now...... this is all i can contribute so far.....ill edit it again later with the new sets |

EV note: Wouldn't it be more useful to increase sdef or def instead of HP on a pokemon that has a bunch of HP already? Okay, I just improved the EV spreads, though I doubt they're good. I suppose I'll make some comments on entei's tankiness. Entei is weak to ground on the physical side and the following ubers are likely to use a ground move when they attack you on any given turn: Groudon, Shinx, Graveler, and Gabite. Also, This might be obvious but try not to get hit by medicham. On the special side entei really doesn't have any serious weaknesses but its special defense is 149 (which isn't amazing in ubers) while its physical defense is 162. [/QUOTE] hmm well the Hp evs are to make the Subs stronger Bulk Up increases his def the only thing to worry about is his sp def but like you said, ubers is now more physical orriented |

Nothing uses Stoss/Night Shade or something like that so simply increasing Sub hp for the sake of increasing Sub HP is dumb in this particular case. Also, you saying ubers is physically oriented convinced me to add an EV spread: 4 HP, 252 def, 252 atk with +defense -satk nature. I'd like to see how well it could physically tank. Interesting question: How much attack to 2HKO or (OHKO if possible) Graveler with Wood Hammer? |

the sub made by a pokemon takes on the stats of a pokemon so the more hp it has the more time it can last on the field which gives you more chances to use Bulk Up and power up your attacks im not sure how much atlk it would need though is there a damage calculator that lets you input the stats you want? Metalkid's comes with the stats preloaded on it so that doesnt work.... |
