At the moment we have just over 30 WA members in a region of around 110 nations. While this is satisfactory we could always do with more. The fact of the matter is that WA members can not be recruited as most are either part of other regions already or are new members who are yet to become one. So really its a matter of recruiting members in the hopes that some of them will become WA members (Most are merely puppets of other WA nations in other regions). Recruiting for more membership In anycase there is one way to push for more WA members in the region and that can be achieved by recruiting non-WA members in the region already. We can assume that most non-WA members here already use their memberships as a source for raiding in other regions, other regional endorsements, home region stance or possibly for their delegate positions. However we can by the least try to get a quarter of all non-WA members here to convert which may gain us around 10-20 more WA members. We can argue membership here on the basis of: -Our "free for all" WA delegate laws. -Our accountability of WA representation from the delegates which evidently many nations are concerned about. -Our non-committment of WA nations to the region itself. -Argue the benefits of WA memberships for those that have none at all. I will be creating a message later on to forward these nations and to push for an increase in WA membership but I would like opinions on my idea. |

message ------------------ Dear [nation] I would like to urge you to either become a member of the world assembly or to move/ convert your WA membership here. Caprecia offers more freedom to WA nations to dictate their terms and concerns when it comes to issues and endorsements. We have a "free for all system" where the WA delegate is anybody with the most endorsements. In this way we allow greater accountability by WA delegates to the concerns of WA nations. Whats more, WA nations are not obligated to the region. All we ask in return is that hold your WA membership in our region. Now I understand that many nations here may have other interests for their WA nations in other regions. But for those of you who have WA nations that are no more than collecting endorsements and answering issues, I urge you to move them here. If you do not have a WA nation I urge you to become one here. This will be the only request so if you are not interested, ignore this message. However the more WA members in our region, the better. Just on a further note, besides the benefits of being a WA nation, both WA and none-WA nations are treated equally with the same rights. Dom ---------------- What you think? |

On a side note, does joining the WA cause your Civil rights rating to rise? |

Depends. Joining the WA makes your nation subject to the whims of WA resolutions, which is why its good that you vote and endorse your delegate so your delegates vote counts more

Put it this way, the more extreme nations (including extreme in a good way) are ones not in the WA. |
