The Karskan Sun Embassy Protestors Dispersed Karska -- Late during the night on March 27th and into the following morning, a group of youths converged in front of the Deltorian embassy in central Karska to stage a solidarity protest with communist protesters in Badenburg. Many of the demonstrators wore armbands or other apparel bearing the insignia of the Karskan Communist Party. City police dispersed the protest when protesters began setting trashcans alight in front of the embassy, mimicking the actions of the Deltorian rioters. "We have freedom of expression in Karska, naturally, but only in so far as public safety isn't breached," the Karskan City Police Commissioner Hanz Joric was quoted as saying in response to criticism by Communist party authorities for disbanding the protest. Mr. Joric added that the trash burning was dangerous and that he wanted to avoid any unfortunate accidents, and that if the protesters wished to return that they may so long as they refrain from any from any further such actions that he would not interfere. The embassy protest ended peacefully when the police arrived. A handful of provocateurs who refused to leave on their own accord were arrested but subsequently released before daybreak. Unconfirmed reports say that Prince Lavo Klein had been among the demonstrators. The Karskan Sun has attempted to reach out to Prince Klein's spokesman on the matter, but has not received a reply. Prince Klein is an avowed communist and affiliate of the Karskan Communist Party. |

The Karskan Sun Orozoi Quiet For Now, but Tyrian Crisis Continues Karska -- After a bloody crackdown on protesters in Orozoi, sparked by the siege and takeover of the Tyrric King's palace, the streets in Tyras have calmed though are from from a return to normalcy. Tyrian National Guards soldiers have set up check points throughout the city, bringing a halt to all forms of transportation island wide. Other international media outlets int Orozoi have estimated 4,121 fatalities, though that the number appears set to climb as bodies continue to be found in the remains of the former Tyrian parliament building. The building collapsed after a heavy shelling by government forces when Orozoan municipal police began sheltering protesters there and had began firing at army troops as they tried to enter. In the capital, opposition members of Parliament announced their intent to hold an impeachment vote on President Stamatias over the bloodshed in Tyras's largest city. Although they have the numbers to bring it to vote, they are still vastly outnumbered by Stamatias's Tyrian Heritage Party, so any vote on impeachment seems destined to fail. Still, the motion brought a chorus of shouts by majority MPs to drown out the opposition leader's announcement, and saw one opposition MP hospitalized after THP politicians ganged up on and beat him with chairs. Opposition parties levied charges against the MPs involved in the beating, however the courts immediately dismissed them. The crisis in Tyras went international when it became aware that King Melas had fled to Karska, resulting in a skirmish between Tyrian and Karskan navy ships. This skirmish had additional significance because the Tyrian warships had opened fire upon an unarmed vessel carrying Crown Prince Radovan Klein and King Vatroslav Kasic of Daal, among other nobility. There were injuries on Prince Klein's ship, but none life threatening and the Prince himself was not among the injured. Tyrric government officials formally issued a request for King Melas to be turned over, however the Regency refused the request without specifying a reason. Karskan citizens, including Karskan Sun reporters, have been subsequently ordered to leave Tyras in response and the Karskan embassy was forced to close. There are an estimated 5,000 individuals with dual Tyrian/Karskan citizenship who were in Tyras at the time, and an estimated 200,000 Karskan citizens of Tyrric decent. Many Tyrians in Karska are refugees or the children of refugees who had fled their mother country after Deimonides's coup d'etat several decades ago or during the more recent civil war. Duke Jure Metikos is himself a descendant of Tyrian refugees who fled after Deimonides seized power. The current crisis in the United Kingdom of Tyras was brought about after a botched coup attempt by the King. Although nobody would have predicted King Melas of being bold, or foolish as some have said, enough to attempt such a move, many have predicted an impending crisis pitting Tyrians of Smaragdisia province against the current administration ever since President Stamatias took office. Factors leading up to the current crisis include:
