Nation Name: The Mestran Imperium
Government Type: Semi-Absolute Monarchy
Economy Type: Capitalist
Target Plot: Map: Syntreal, plot(s): GN 11/12, GN 10
Expansion Type: Civilized
Informational Links: Factbook, Military, Map /Thread/
Rebel RPer: Blacaria
When did your last Expansion end? October, 2013
When was your last Military Conflict? Feb, 314 - End of 314
Why do you seek to expand? As the Empire continously grows it requires more and more food to sustain its populace. The Empire is seeking to annex Cordillia (GN11/GN12), and Seltera (GN 10). These are two small city state like duchy's more or less, and they are willing to join the Imperium, However on the day the Anexxation treaties are to be signed or slightly after, terrorists launch a massive and coordinated assault against the Duchy's and the empire. Thousands lay dead. This campaign should last several months to a year IC and would be more of an investigation and hunt down for well organized terrorist cells in the Duchy's Perhaps they are being funded from outside the Duchy's, a future enemy of Mestra ? This is a goal campaign for a three part story arc I would like to have. Modifications will be made at the Ministry's request.
Plot: The day of Annexation of the Duchy of Cordillia and the Duchy of Seltera is at hand. The Emperor is at hand to officially sign the Treaty of Anexation and to welcome the new Duchy's into the Imperium. Shortly after the treaties are signed, bombs explode in the government building. Dozens are killed in the first blast. Secondary explosions fill the cities, as coordinated attacks are taking place across both cities and some small outlying areas of importance. Nicholas is injured in the blast and is knocked unconscious. He is flown back to Mestra where he goes into the ICU and is in a coma. Imperial Governance falls to Isabella who has issues with some in the Imperial Senate who view the monarchy as weak and seek to usurp the throne.
Aside from this...approved with the requirements:
- it be length
- it be the best thing since sliced bread (or as close to that as possible)
- you be aware that population and GDPpc gains will be dragged down if I am dissatisfied with the RP

Pretty much it, I guess. Go forth and fight.

I'll be posting tonight hopefully, after I think on how exactly I want to start this. Blac I'll keep you informed of the storyline so you know what's going on, but I won't post it here, it should be a mystery of sorts, if we carry this out properly. Pretty much the rebel/terrorist groups do what one would expect though likely you'll have hackers and everyday people running around. Our aim is for substance.

There are indeed a lot of oddities, some more pressing than others. I won't explore into the minor ones, because they're a) internal and therefore b) not relevant to maintaining order between player and non-player states.

The key with the present course: the 45,000 soldiers that come out of seemingly nowhere and/or the eastern states. I do not appreciate references to NPCs without being informed of their greater role in the plot, especially something as controversial as supplying/aiding/associating with the bad guy. I'm not fond of it as its creates a potential to force the Ministry's hands in an expansion; ie.: "this is canon, so there!"

But, I digress. What we needa talk about is sorting out the origin of those 45k peeps and their equipment.

Does Brava have any supporters in the Mestran government/military?

As for military support, Brava could have some of the Military Command on his side and thus troops could potentially come from there, though why they would fight there brethren or emperor is up for discussion. If NPC states are an issue, there is my second expansion that has yet to start. A nation known as Xia'Xol is being spawned for that one. It could always be utilized instead of the eastern states, though the reasons for Mestra invading it would have to be reasonable since you yourself have deemed it necessary for my nation to be the bad guy or as it fits imperialistic. The overall troops in the area can be reduced as well if so desired.

Tie the two together. Brava somehow convinced Xia'Xol (why Asian-esque?) to support him, hence the influx of their troops into the duchies. This would look an invasion of Mestra, however. How'd that play for Brava and Nicholas?

The Asian theme is to tie together some existing cannon of the region. Angleterre has some asian themes in it, cities mostly I think. Given that the Asian culture originally colonized that area, I figured they were some last remaining off shoot of that historical theme, and keeps other areas in Syntreal that have asian theme original to the region from being super isolated.

I suppose the Xia'Xol troops could assist, not sure what you mean by the Brava and Nicholas part?

Okay so Lines an I worked out the following:

The troops 45k (maybe should make it a little smaller don't konw), are actually Duke Alonso's men and citizens from Cordillera itself. He is cohorts with Brava. Bravas goal is to take over Mestra, and he promises Alonso independence, which Alonso wants in addition to Seltera. With both Duchies under Mestran rule, they can be combined and freed, or so Alonso thinks. Brava has no intentions of yielding the claims. The army is acting has rebels against the Imperium. Brava would send in troops if he could, but Markus, Nicholas, and Isabella have other intentions.

Works enough.
