Tristram, Caldeum elected Gamma Cities in Oracia, Byzantium elected Beta City

TRISTRAM - Three U.S. cities are being recognized as major cities on Oracia.

The cities of Tristram, Caldeum and Byzantium all earned high marks from the International Committee of Oracian Recors (ICOR for short) due to their sizes and importance in the Syntrael Region.

Tristram, the national capital and Caldeum were chosen as "Gamma Cities". These cities, according to the ICOR, are usually cities that are the largest in their country. Caldeum is the second largest city in the United States and is the best educational city in the country. Many local officials in Caldeum were not surprised that their city received such a high honor. Tristram, on the other hand, as the capital of the United States, was ranked comparatively low. The Federal Capital was ranked one spot above Caldeum, despite the prominence Tristram enjoys in U.S. culture. City officials became even more determined to draw even greater worldwide appeal to the city in the coming years.

Byzantium, the largest city in the United States, received a "Beta City" rating. According to the ICOR, beta cities are typically called "regional capitals". With dozens of financial and corporate headquarters dotting Byzantium, it came at no surprise to city officials that the city once called "the heart and soul of the United States" received such praise.

President Anakin Cain called the results "promising of the rising influence and power of the United States of Nova Angleterre around the world."

Hieriguma takes over lead in overall national polling
Speaker of the House leads all candidates in early polling
by: Susan Anstaett - Speaker of the House Tassadar Hieriguma (C-Windsor) has taken a slim lead in overall national polling in the race for the Presidency of the United States in 330.

The Centrist frontrunner overtook Secretary of State Christopher Witt, the Democratic-Republican frontrunner, by a score of 27% for Hieriguma over 25% for the Secretary of State. Federalist frontrunner Albert Letterman posted a score of 18%, while newly announced candidate Governor George Schaurer (F-Virginia) posted a 13%. A combined 17% of those polled declared themselves undecided, but some of them hinted at support for Senator Raven Flair (DR-Orleans), Governor David Griesmeyer (DR-Ohio), Delegate Leah Lafferty-Edwards (W-Orleans), and Senator Jennifer Rogers (C-Orleans). Delegate Aaron Gideon (DR-West Aiuria) dropped out of the race on November 10, allowing for a single-candidate Democratic-Republican primary at the moment.

Hieriguma is considered the strongest of the candidates by and large, but still could face his toughest challenge in Witt, who seemingly has the advantage of beginning to take control of the political operation that secured William Regal a fourth term. However, the race is still incredibly early and there are due to be more candidates jumping in the race later on.

The dates of the individual party conventions was released today by the four parties, as well as their locations. They are, in chronological order:

  • Democratic-Republican National Convention - Adrianople, Anatolia - June 1-6
  • Centrist Party National Convention - Aiur City, Aiur - June 8-13
  • Federalist National Convention - Harrogath, Arreat - June 15-20
  • Whig National Nominating Covention - Xiansai City, Xiansai - June 22-27
