GDPpc: ≤10k (prewar)
Pop: mid-teens (prewar)
military size: approx. ~.65% (initially)

I hope to see the plot-line followed adequately and grandly.

I have reviewed the IC thread. I'm afraid that the scenario is largely inclined towards the Taeunasan end. The "rebels" are made to appear weak and non-technological--rather outdated--and their country seems heavily infiltrated by and dependent on Taeunasans (culturally, economically, technologically). This is more inline with an Uncivilized Expansion RP, rather than a Civilized Expansion. (The latter is supposed to involve other "sovereign states, independent and capable of defending themselves"; I'll like clarify this statement in the near future.)

The exact consequences of this aren't set now and will likely depend on subsequent posts, though simply altering the plots to colony plots and allowing you an exempt to the one-plot-at-a-time (though with a subsequent wait time appropriate for all three plots) is on the table. How would this change affect the RP and it's results?

It wouldn't. Both the GDPpc and the population are already within Uncivilized Expansion bounds. Why, then, would I bother to recolor the map? To prevent this RP from being used to legitimize future campaigns against piss-poor states (I was imagining they'd just be /kind of/ poor... like China, or Russia).

Reading that final sentence back to myself, it's likely I will go through with the shift... Lines wanders off.

Whoops. I guess I didn't really know. We were still rp-ing the intro to the actual conflict. We were planning on drawing it out actually. That guy Lorcan was going to destroy a bunch of ships and drag the countries into war.

I'm still trying to get used to how you guys do expansion here. It does seem to be in favor of Taeunas now that I read the whole thing. It's still decent RP though (although that's in my opinion) and makes for a good story.

Aye. As I said, there's no real consequences to the change. The wait time is standard after ever colonization, and can't really be ignored. The population is still within the limits for colony plots, as is the GDPpc. Their change into colony plot actually makes it easier, as those are more story-oriented and don't have the same requirements and regulations that the standard expansions have. It also means he'll have an easier time of subduing the locals afterwards... which is even legitimized in RP by the piece referring to the children.

So, really, just continue RPing. I'm only saying this stuff now so it doesn't come out of the left field later. And I'm only doing it at all to prevent awkward situations in the future. On that note, I'd like to take a moment to preempt /other/ unpleasantries and say: "all the plots north-northwest of these are becoming colony plots as well." Why? Might as well. The Heractian isn't supposed to be heavily inhabited to begin with.

Hey Schaine, you can have Saorise continue asking those questions. The barkeep will just ask her where she really is from. He doesn't believe her answer, pushes farther, maybe threatens to get the local guards to come around. she gets pissed, does something, maybe even shoots the guy, I don't know. This could be that crazy thing she did to piss of the Danaan.

Ok, I'm wrapping this one up. A few more posts and it's done. Lines, if you could, change the map to reflect the new border and do all the number crunching. Umm... I think this started in RP year 315 so have it end 317.
