Nicholas was escorted to the throne room where he would meet the Khan. Nicholas was not afraid of the Khan though many men were, Nicholas knew the Khan and he knew that the Khan would not make a move against him or fear the Imperium rolling over Korada with tanks. Nicholas did not expect a confrontation, in fact he need their help.

Nicholas stood before the giant of a man, his dark hair and facial hair matching his dark eyes, his tan colored skin a reminder of Korada's hotter arid climate. There was a clear contrast between the two men, where Nicholas' skin was a pale white color, though he had a partial tan color, he was much lighter than the Khan, Nicholas had light brown hair and his eyes were a brilliant blue, he was the opposite of the Khan in most respects.

Nicholas took a step forward and spoke loud and clear, "Greetings Great Khan, rider of Korada. I come before you in peace and friendship." Nicholas paused to wait for the Khan's response.

Khan's Palace Jurran
Khorada Khanate

Khan Barjik watched the Mestran Emperor storm into his hall like a force of nature. Khan watched the man as he announced to him his intentions with all the poise and power that was drilled into him his entire life. But in his eyes was truth, beneath a cold fire roared like the Khora's sun. The duality made smirk for the briefest moment before the gravity of the situation hit him.

Khan cocked an eyebrow,"There is no need to stand on ceremony Nicolas. We've known each other to long. You've come here to enlist my help because of the your rather exiting wedding night."

Khan took a moment to enjoy the momentarily flustered look on his friends face before continuing,"I know that your palace was attacked and that your likely to start burning flags and scorching earth for your revenge. And also that as of yeet your wife is still missing, speaking of which what did you think of my wedding gifts."

(OOC: Assuming you didn't intend anything to happen on the boat trip, I'll skip to the part where he arrives.)

Jurran Port, Korada Khanate

The vessel gracefully lined up next to the dock, and once the ship was settled, Casimiro Helder stepped off, followed by his various aides and assistants. He was escorted by a contingent of Koradan guards to the Khan's Palace. As they passed through the city in their vehicles, Casimiro could not help but notice the generally poor condition of the capital. The place seemed to be very poorly kept and the poverty was evident, the occasional shrine or statue being seemingly the only things that looked well-kept in the city.

After making a few mental notes on the capital, they reached the Khan's Palace, a massive, wondrous-looking piece of architecture that stood out among the rest of the city. He was cleared through the palace gates and told to wait inside as the Khan was informed of his arrival.

(OOC: This happens before the emperor and Nicholas arrives.)

Otemish zhag strides through the halls of the Khan's palace flaked by two of his tribesmen[1]. The Imondan ambassador had arrived and he had to get to him before any of the Chief's from the West did. Honestly Otemish was surprised the man was still in one piece after staying on a ship crewed by his tribes raiders, but his brother was their so the sail couldn't have been that bad.

Otemish eventually found the Diplomat in a small room along the Great Hall, he took a moment then gestured to follow him inside. The Hall was abuzz with activity the servants going to and fro delivering food to the assorted nobles all sitting along the table. Closer to the main entrance was empty, but farther up military tribal leaders conversed. Closer to the head of the table sit Chiefs and their personal guests, meandering around the Hall were many Riding hounds ranging in color and size. the Khan himself left his high throne and sits at the head of the table.

On either side of the Khan are two woman, one whose pale skin stands out glaringly among the sandy skin of the Korada, and to his right sat another that was feeding a small baby in the seat next to her. and all the seats closest to the Khan children of varying ages all resembling one of the two women. And one empty seat two down from the Khan.

The Khan spotted the chief escorting the ambassador and stood to approach them.

"Ambassador welcome to my home and welcome to Jurran." He announced with a hearty laugh, "please have a seat."

"Thank you, Khan, for receiving me with so much hospitality," Casimiro said. Awkwardly taking a seat at the long table, he said, "My name is Ambassador Casimiro Helder, here to represent the Imondan Confederation and President Ezequiel." After a few awkward moments with the Imondan sitting in an uncommon situation. Eventually, the ambassador continued, "My president has sent me here with the goal of reestablishing diplomatic relations with the Korada Khanate. Our two nations have not had much of any communication since... well, ever. We wish to create a strong relationship between Korada and Imonda that will unite the nations of the Imonda Sea and ensure peace.

"More specifically, we wish to establish an alliance between our states. Also, I do not wish to offend, good Khan, but on the way here I took note at the... unwell shape of the capital here. Perhaps Imonda could also help your people with some economic aid and a trade agreement?"

"Those are all very interesting proposals but for now please enjoy the feast." Khan says as he gestures for a servant to bring Casimiro food. As the food was brought forward Khan continued, "I know that our two peoples have had a troubled history, but I believe that we- Nisi stop pulling on you sister's hair."

Seeing that the Ambassador was slightly taken aback by the interruption tried to catch himself, " I apologize, as I was saying our two states working together can restabilize and bring peace to the region. Some of the Chiefs have already expressed interest in brokering trade with your people."

After that the two started making idle small chat as they ate neither really knowing what to say. As the night dragged on the many farther down began to leave as they finished their meals. Then the woman with the baby spoke to Khan.

"My Khan. Chorpan is getting sleepy and I think I will resign for the night as well will you need me?"

"No Hande goodnight"

"Goodnight My Khan"

As Hande stands a Hound saunters over to the baby and picks him up by his shirt. Hande begins to walk away towards a portcullis and the dog follows.

As she leaves Khan turns towards the other woman, "Serah I won't be needing you tonight, you may leave."

"Of course Barjik," she stands up and makes her way out of the hall, twins girls farther down hop out of their seats and chase after her.

Khan watches the three leave with amused grin, but then turns to the Ambassador,"We must speak privately please follow me to a more appropriate place to speak."

"Of course, Khan," he said, following the Khan. Casimiro would have been lying if he said he had not enjoyed himself during the feast. It was nice to get away from the busy life of an ambassador. It also showed more of the Koradans' lifestyle. Obviously they were not as formal and professional as other people, though he knew not to underestimate the abilities of the Koradans.

After they had gone to a more secluded place, Casimiro turned to the Khan. "What is on your mind, Khan, and what did you think of my proposals?"

Meeting between Khan and Emperor

"I did receive your gifts, though sadly Isabella was not with me to see them. I was surprised you sent dogs, Khan." Nicholas paused for a moment before continuing. "I came here to ask for your help. I need soldiers trained in guerrilla warfare. Such as your men. If you agree they will be trained in Mestran military tactics, just as your men will train mine in your particularly useful tactics. In exchange the Imperium will open full trade and investments into Korada, in addition to a supply of power and clean water technology, medicine, and equipment and training to take advantage of your national plains. We will need food and with our help you can begin mass producing food to help feed both our States. I ask you as one leader to another, as an old friend even though we may not see eye to eye to help me."

To The Qogyal-lama
From: Barjik Khan of Korada

I must say I am honestly surprised to hear from your people, with the centuries of bloodshed they've been subject to at the hands of my own. I know for a fact even today our raiders plague you southeastern countryside.

But nonetheless I am happy to hear from you so we may begin to make steps towards the cessation of violence bwtween our people. Send your emissary and I will send my men to escort him safely all the way to my palace. A spot will be open for him along with the other foreign delegates at my side at the next clansmeet if he arrives in time where he can make his case to all of the clanheads.

I eagerly await your diplomat. Peace be on you.

Khan and Casimiro

Khan rubbed the bridge of his nose as he looked down at the ambassador a much more haggard look on his face.

"Ambassador there are issues with what you have proposed but for you to understand them you must know of my people. While I would like nothing more than to make lasting friendships and ensure peace in our region there are centuries of tradition that impede my goal."

"While the Chiefs bow knee to me I am obligated to follow the wisdom of the clan heads. For raids to stop into south Imonda it would require Vars of clan Vulge, who leads most of the raids in that area to agree. And none of the Vulge Chieftains have yet swore fealty to me, and the idea of forming an alliance with meat[1] would have me fighting half the horde to keep my authority[2]."

"Furthermore the Khanate has a very small merchant fleet so that trade from my people to yours would have to go through the Qiguang. A diplomat from the there will arrive in a few days, much to the chagrin of my advisers, and we may discuss that more in depth with him then."

Before Khan could continue the sound of the door opening caught both there attention, a young hound had wandered in. It sauntered towards Casimiro and began sniffing his shoes.

Khan let out a hearty yet tired laugh,"She must like you, please it is late we will speak more in the coming days a servant will show you to your room."

Khan and Emperor

While Nicolas spoke Khan stands from his throne and approaches his old friend, but takes a moment to gesture around him at, why he would send dogs.

"My friend were I not Khan I would personally lead my tribesmen to the white shores of Corali and set the Canan fields alight in your name. But my status puts me in a compromising position. I cannot simply Command able raiders from every village to go and bow knee to Mestran sergeants, the Clans would have my head. No for this to work I must have assurance that your promises are sincere and that Khoradans will work in coalition not subservience to the Imperial army. Then perhaps I will be able to connive a way for the Clans to accept this."

Khan came over and patted Nicolas on the shoulder, "Give me a week to send my friend there is a Clansmeet in three days. If I succeed than I will send riders to I'valas along with a regiment of my best veterans to say so, If I fail then I will dead and you would have heard of it."
[1] Slang word used in the Khanate that is he people who are often the targets of raids.
[2] Ritualistic fighting matches is how the Chiefs solve disputes.
