Ash Ring, Jurran
Khorada Khanate

"-and the refugees are being relocated to camps outside of Tyrell"

Chief Itakh said finishing his report with a cough. The proud chief of the agrarian Jurell gazes around the empty chamber at three other occupants. The light from the fire pit, lit up the chiefs already pale face with a ghastly glow. The dark blue robes reflects the firelight making images of a bright cloudy sky.

From a risen throne a shadowed figure motions for the sickly chief to sit.

"Thank you blood of my blood, Bann have their been any word from the other clans?" his voice, though spoken softly, still booms like thunder out of his throat.

At the signal a decorated man in a dress uniform stands from his seat and began addressing the ring.

"I've sent all of you a more detailed report but this is what you must take from it. There has been no response from any of the other clans, and our scouts have reported that the Inokan have begun raising their liege levies."

As the Bann finishes the chief speaks up.

"Do they plan to march on Jurran?"

"Well it's unlikely that they are throwing a parade in the honor of the Khan."

"The sarcasm is unnecessary Manar."

"Ooh the pup is showing his teeth."

"Don't test me Blade."

"Enough!"

The voice of the Khan silences the brewing the argument.

"Now I know that the last few weeks have been especially stressful on all of us and that I've asked more of you than ever warranted. But now more than ever is the time when we must stay united in the face of adversity."

Khan takes a deep breath before continuing.

"The Inokan aggression is unfortunate but expected, and we have already made preparations. We will begin sending patrols along the Zhaer'ghor trenches. Start hiring riders to scout Inokan troop disposition and movement on the other side. Send troops to the more isolated villages and make them ready to quickly evacuate to cities if they come under threat of an invading army. Those are my orders if none of you have any further issues then we can adjourn this meeting of the Ash."

The Khan began to rise but a feminine voice stopped him.

"My Khan?"

"Speak my friend."

The figure yet to speak emerges from the shadows and locks her intense eyes with the Khan's.

"I want you to remember you made a promise to me once, a promise that you would be different that you would drag our people our of the ignorance and depravity of our past. That your would be our Shepard and lead us out of the desert and into the sun to be apart of a world that has left us behind. You promised to make our people more than just a horde, you promised to make us a nation."

Shocked silence permeated the chamber as the words of the chieftess sink in. Chief Itakh is clearly insulted by the woman's words but knows better than to voice his opinion. Blade Manar aparently remains impassive but raises his eyebrow and the lets the slightest of a smirk in the corner of his mouth. The Khan releases a low growl before responding.

"Meeting adjourned."

After the chiefs left the Khan remained in the darkened room, the chieftess's words ringing in his ears.

'A year ago I would've thought of that as a impossible wish made by children who didn't know better'

Khan looks down to see that his hound had wandered in and rested her head on his lap.

'But now...'

To: All Foreign Heads of State

Few of you may know me but many will know my people. Over the land we have many names: the Horde, the wold riders, the dog people, but most commonly Barbarians. I've come to end that. Our days of raiding, culling and invading are over. My nation is on the advent of a new age, one where have peace with our neighbors not war, one where we can send form diplomatic relations without starting a blood feud, one where a child will never know the pain of hearing that their father and brothers had died on some pointless raid on the other side of the desert.

I wish for my people to know peace.

I know that many of you will not believe what I've said, to them I say I understand. I can only hope that a few of you may dare to believe in the implausible, to them I say please believe that I am sincere.

But I also know all to well some will see this as a sign that my people have grown weak, to them I can say only one thing. My people are survivors: our lines have been broken, our armies scattered, we've been enslaved, beaten, and battered. But my people will never break.

This is my call, I will lead the Korada into the modern world, so says the Khan.

You may not have heard of us as of yet, but we seek to change that. Not to long ago nearly half of our nation was lost to Barbarism and petty Tribal squabbles. Now we are a united nation, we have not taken from them their heritage or their way of life, but instead united them with a common goal, a common purpose. We seek to open peaceful relations to you, and we would be happy to send and emissary if you wish.

We will be glad to help you with the transition to this new world as well. To have open relations, and to have open trade is what we'd gladly offer to your nation. Please send us your response as soon as you are able. We look forward to relations between our nations.

First I give my sympathies to your people and pray that they will continue to know peace. But it is good to know there is another who truly knows the position I am in.

I welcome your emissary and upon his arrival I will throw a feast in his honor. He will be a welcome guest in my home and we can truly begin negotiations then. Though I send him warning, our major cities may often be the subject of foreign trade. But my people are still not used to foreigners, so the streets may not be safe for him.

I excitedly await your delegate. Peace be on you.

Greetings oh Khan, ruler of Korada. It is of the greatest interest of the Mestran State to open relations with your future State. As we both share our homes in the Syntreal region it is logical to assume a position of understanding and friendship. The Imperium understands and respects your desires to lead your people into the modern world, just as the Kingdom of Mestra long ago rose from the ashes of barbarism and chaos. We hope you will accept our request to seek and audience with the Khan.

It is good to hear from our neighbors to the north. First my congragulation about your wedding. Second I must admit I'm surprised to receive such a warm greetings from you considering how the Horde ravaged you lands at its Height.

Nonetheless I am a different Khan than my ancestors and welcome your friendliness. Know that I welcome the emergence of relations between our peoples.

If your request for an audience is sincere than please send your emissary and he will be welcomed into my home.

It is indeed good news when an ancient people such as yours comes into the light of the modern world. Though the mountains and rivers between our two nations have meant that my own nation has not seen the wrath of your Horde much, my ethnic brethren across the Imondan Lake have had to bear witness to the Horde's wrath in the past. We would like for relations between our nations to be refreshed in a feeling of mutual friendliness.

We would be honored if you would accept an ambassador from our Confederation to discuss new treaties and general good relations.

Signed,
Claudio Ezequiel

So finally the Imondan's cousins to the south come forward. I'd like to apologize to both your people and the Imondan for the savagery of my people in the past. I'm not proud to admit that I myself have participated in raids along their western frontier.

But as I've said I wish to lead my people past that, and into the modern world. So I welcome your good will and will except your ambassador into our fold. I would even request you to ask the Imondans to send an ambassador though I feel they have very little love for my people.

I await your delegate. Peace be on you

The So'Karsan sat in the small Wildcat as it traversed the harsh terrain of the Khanate. He had been assigned two bodyguards one was equipped with a MK2: Assault Suit, and the other an MK2: Stealth Suit. The Emissary himself dressed in the So'Karsan traditional uniform, his rank of 1st Emissary of the Peace Corp emblazoned on his shoulders. They'd been dropped off at the earliest point in Korada via the great river. The journey had been bumpy and a bit harrowing as they avoided the people to the best of their ability. Finally they reached the capital of Korada, the city of Juura.

"Gentlemen this appears to be the city, lets hope this first meeting will be a peaceful one." Spoke 1st Emissary Yukii Amano, who himself had been raised as a tribesman. Most of hislife he was a scared child, that was until he met the Republic where he found he could serve a higher calling. He's been in the Peace Corp for nearly 10 years, mostly serving to help Tribals adapt to the Republic or even speak with new Tribes who were interested in joining. This was his first foreign assignment, and he wanted to make sure he succeeded.

"I'm sure it will be fine sir, and if not we do have superior firepower we'd be able to get you out of here in no time flat."

"Of course, but lets just do our best to keep it cordial. We know very little about The horde other then tales of their brutality." The vehicle slowed to a stop and the three men got out. "One of you stay with the Wildcat, make sure it remains intact."

Khora's Wrath Khans Fleet
Imonda Sea, Nearing Montevar

The green waters ebb and flow over the Khora's bow as the small flagship floats into Mintevar harbor like a mortal among gods. The proud ship sails in between the behemoth freighters of the Imondan, and finds its way to its berth. The whole while the deck crew marvel at the titanic ships around them and at how gracefully yet powerfully they carry themselves, Shipmaster Tarkhan watches wearily as the Khora comes to a rest along the dock.

Tarkhan zhag was the youngest in clans history to captain a vessel in the Khan's fleet, and aboard the Khan's flagship no less. He had once been a raider much like other boys his age who didn't know better, but after seeing the horrors of war he knew that the old ways would only lead to the slow hemorrhaging death of the Khanate. After inheriting the Clan head, after his fathers untimely death, he backed Barjik Tyrell in the Khall'gaz meet. As a result he was given command of the Khora which led him to the situation he was in now.

The Shipmaster was given an order three days ago to sail to Montevar and then transport a Imondan diplomat to Jurran. Suffice to say he had his reservations, the literal centuries of hostilities being but one of them, but so says the Khan.

Stepping onto the harbor with two of his clansmen as guards he immediately spotted the pale faced Imondan Ambassador with his entourage. As the two groups grew nearer it was all he could do to bite back his survival instincts as the familiar sight of Imondan soldiers leered at him.

As the two groups stood but two meters apart Tarkhan decided to begin. The Shipmaster locked his eyes with the ambassador and took a step forward; guards on both sides visibly tensing as he does so.

"Hello Ambassador welcome to Khora's Wrath we'll take good care of you on your way to see Khan. " Tarkhan greeted in heavily accented Imondan as he held out his hand, "My name is Shipmaster Tarkhan and I'll be your host on this voyage.

(OOC: Note that the captain would slipping into his native language when referring to names and titles 'Shipmaster' 'Khan')

The sight of Koradans here, in the capital, was a chilling sight to many. Everyone had heard of Koradan raids along the border and of their particular skill in being ruthless. Some had even been around to witness it. Even so, Casimiro had been given the job of negotiations with these people, and he saw the intensity of the moment as his guards readjusted the grips on their weapons and the Koradans eyed the Imondans suspiciously.

When the Shipmaster stepped forward and offered his hand. He noticed the odd Koradan tongue struggling to fit with the pronunciations of the Imondan language. Shaking Shipmaster Tarkhan's hand, he said, "Welcome, er, Mr. Tarkhan. I am Casimiro Helder, ambassador for President Claudio Ezequiel. I am honored to have you has our host along the journey."

After a few greetings and formalities, they finally boarded the boat and left for the Koradan Khanate. As they drew farther away from the Montevar port, a small destroyer left the port. The destroyer would follow them at a safe distance until they reached the opening to the massive river which ran through Korada.

The Mestran Drop ship, an advanced air transport that had speeds similar to a jet but landing capabilities like a helicopter flew over the terrain towards the Korada capitol. Twelve fighter jets were escorting the single drop ship, and as they approached the Korada border all but two broke off the escort. Over the capitol the drop ship began its rapid descent, as the two fighter jets also began a vertical landing. The drop ship which pore the Imperial Crest that was used by the military landed with a loud hissing from the engines, the fighters landed about twenty feet away on either side of the drop ship. The square they had landed in was large enough and people kept their distance not sure what was happening.

The hanger door on the back side of the drop ship and Imperial Guards marched out, they exited the ship and marched around the drop ship to face the oncoming Koradan forces. Before the Koradans approached, two men walked out of the ship, one in front of the other. The first shouted out, "His Imperial Majesty, Nicholas Alexander Emperor of Mestra." Nicholas walked around the man, his eyes looked heavy and weary, it didn't seem like an emperor to look fatigued, something bad must have happened, especially for the Emperor to come. "I must speak with the Khan immediately"

City outskirts Jurran
Korada Khanate

As soon as the So' Karasan diplomats entourage left their APC (I assume?) the area was filled with frantic activity as Korada regulars came out of the shadows along with a black limousine with tinted windows. The diplomat and his guard were placed into the car and it was off. The other soldiers melted back into the darkness leaving only a armored soldier standing by his APC.

During the silent ride to the palace the diplomat tried to introduced himself but ranking officer only gave a grunt and his name, Chief Otemish zhag. In the waning moonlight Amano saw some of Jurran both good and bad: poorly kept roads and buildings, blood stained into the walls of buildings on every street, and even a factory collapsed and still smoking from whatever fate befell it. But he also saw wonderful things: Jade statues of the Khanate's main deities still standing in all their glory among the poverty, construction crews repairing the most despaired buildings, and the legendary Khorada riding hounds sleeping at their masters steps.

When the car reached the Palace, the two Sor'Korasn were rushed in through the gates. Inside the two were led to a massive hall that sat in the heart of the palace.

"Khan awaits." the Chief said as he gestures towards the hall.

The emissary nods and begins to go but is blacked entrance, "Khan only wishes to speak to you."

The emissary looks to his guard and after a moments pause halfheartedly smiles," Stay here I'll be fine."

As Amano made his way down the hall he couldn't help but stare at the mosaics embedded in the wall. Depictions of men women and giant dogs all larger that life and all committing various acts that perplexed the Sor'Korsan. He stopped at a especially large image to find its meaning it was of a man staring down with an impassive expression on a black background, then it spoke.

"Hello I-"

"AAH" The emissary cuts the Khan off as he stumbled back onto a long stone table.

The Khan moves to help him up, which he must bend over to do, and begins to address emissary again when he caught his breath.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you."

"Wha- oh no- you didn't,,, please don't tell anyone about this."

The Khan lets out a deep full laugh that echoes deeply in the empty chamber.

"It will be our secret. Now I simply wanted to welcome you into my home and see what I could conject of you character."

"And?" the emissary asked hesitantly.

"For some reason I like you," before he could continue an aide rushed forward from the hallway behind them.

"Sir the Mestran Emperor he demands an audience with you."

"Hmm I apologize but we can continue this conversation later. You must be tired after such a long journey, this servant will show you to your room another will come to you in the morning to show you around the palace an escort you to Breakfast."

As the Sor'Karsan emissary was led away Khan let out a deep sigh and climbed the steps to his Throne at the head of the hall.Three Riding Hounds came out of the darkness, the largest rested her head and legs on the Khan while the other two laid themselves across the steps.

"This isn't going to be good"
